A comparable GE model, GLD4400BT, lasted only 3 years before the computer display malfunctioned, the rack rusted out, and it never cleaned the dishes well (though that could have been cause we used a generic dishwasher soap that was recalled). To Ge's credit, a GE repairman came out for free even after the warranty expired by a few months, but they could not fix the problem that it did not wash dishes well. And this unit replaced another GE dishwasher unit that was 7 years old and got recalled due to fire hazard. I've lost faith in GE products and just bought a Whirlpool. ABT's service has always been great.

There is NO Rinse /Hold feature. You put your dirty dishes in the unit and either let them smell or wash with soap every day. I have never heard of a dishwasher without the Rinse/Hold feature. [...]

We had to return the first dishwasher because it would start to run for about 30 seconds or so, then would shut off. The second one did go in a lot easier and works just fine. I do not have to "pre-wash" my dishes before loading. That is the best feature. The size of the bottom section is very roomy so that I can put in my pots and pans as well as oversized bowls, etc.
