Comments about Bosch 24" Stainless Steel Evolution 500 Series Undercounter Dishwasher:
This is by far the quietest dishwasher... the sealed bottom and soundproofing is key.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Perfect (for us!)
from Wheaton, IL
This dishwasher replaced a 300 series Bosch Integra that we had for five years. I had used the incorrect detergent in it for years and the residue and sediment was too much to try to get off. It was installed by the builder and we never really read the instructions...bad idea...and used liquid detergent for years. So, we replaced it with this model and love it just as much as the last model. In fact, other than a couple of extra wash cycle options, and the front display, it's pretty much the same. I have never had a dishwasher with a grinder, so I cannot compare to those. This 500 series is slightly quieter than our 300 series Integra was, but that's not saying much considering we used to open the Integra during mid-cycle not knowing it was running. Seriously.Drying is fine...I don't attempt to open it the second the cycle stops to remove dishes. By the time I get to it, they are dry. When deciding upon this model, I read the Abt reviews and noticed that people are very particular about their dishwashers and what they do. I have pretty basic needs...it needs to clean well, handle a decent amount of dishes (family of 5), be quiet (because the kitchen is open to the family room) and look good. Plus, the controls needed to be inaccessible to the grabby toddler hands around here. This dishwasher is perfect (for us).

Make sure your dishes fit before buying!

About Me Gourmet Chef
This dishwasher was not equipped to handle the type of dishes that I use. I do not use cups and saucers or small plates. This dishwasher cleans very well, but the fixed prongs do not allow you much leeway in positioning your dishes. Some of the larger items, like plastic storage bowls or larger stainless steel platters, I had to wash by hand or position awkwardly. I couldn't even wash my glass coffee carafe becasue it wobbled to much on the prongs! This dishwasher is highly rated, but I recommend taking in some of your dishes to see if they will fit in the dishwasher!
