I purchased this item today in-store at Abt. Having listened to Jimi Hendrix and Green Day from my iPod in sufficient quantities and at sufficient volumes all day, I am ready to pronounce this unit as excellent sounding for the money! It will be a fine unit for moving outside for backyard barbecues this summer as well. I also spent time on the radio with the Cubs and Chicago's Finest Rock, so I know the tuner sections are of excellent quality. I spent very little time with the owner's manual before getting the hang of the interface, and the everyday controls are completely, well, everyday, which is a good thing.

The interface may be a bit complex for the technologically challenged, however, for setting alarm times and adjusting bass and treble - clearly not designed by Apple engineers. But okay on the interface.

I especially liked how you can attach a running iPod playing music. The unit senses this, and turns itself on. Sweet.

If sound quality is critical to you in an iPod/iPhone dock alarm clock radio, skip the cheaper units and move on up to this unit. It is money well-spent.

Clear display and full featured with pretty good sound. Alarm is a bit complex to set.

More reliable than previously owned(replaced under warrany)BA Duo., but sound is clearly not as good. They must have made changes to the speakers because sound is now just very average/bland.

Next time I'm in the market for a high-end table radio I will be trying another brand. My recent experiences w/BA have been not so good. YMMV.
