When buying an induction cooktop, know what you??re getting yourself into. Special cookware is required. If a magnet will not stick to your current pots and pans, you must buy new ones. Once you have all the right gear, it??s well worth the cost. It cooks fast and evenly with lots of control over the temperature. You can have a boiling pot of water (which doesn??t take long) and the surrounding surface will be barely warm. For me, it??s the happy medium between a microwave and conventional cooktop.

I purchased this cooktop a week ago. It has been majorly disappointing. After about three uses an error code, F47 popped up. A repairman came out, and couldn't fix it. We are now waiting on parts. Parts to fix a new stove!!!!!! We've been eating out, because, our brand new expensive stove DOES NOT WORK!! Avoid this appliance. The technology in theory is great, but in function it is a colossal failure. You WILL regret this purchase! Consider yourself warned!

Comments about Jenn-Air 30" Black Electric Radiant Downdraft Cooktop:
I bought this 2 years ago and the first time I used boost it threw the breakers and never worked again. So, whirlpool replaced it. Itworked until I used the boost again 5 months later, it threw all the breakers in my home, and have never worked again. I've been 6 months without a cooktop. I WENT TO THE STORE THAT SOLD IT TO ME, THEY SAID CALL WHIRPOOL.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We purchased this cook top one month ago when we updated our kitchen. We are Whirlpool fans and this is just another great Whirlpool appliance.
Easy care appliance!

I have been using my new cook top for about three weeks now. It is fantastic! I have had several cook tops over the years, but this Whirlpool Gold was worth the extra dollars that I paid for it. I am still exploring all of its features.

Easiest cooktop ever to keep clean and shiny. Have had it about 6 months and absolutely love it.

The cook top heats quickly, evenly and the dual burner is really nice.
Great Simmer Button!

When my wife and I purchased the new Whirlpool 30 inch cook top, we were not sure if my wife would be able to read the words and symbols on the dials. My wife is vision impaired. However, when we began using the new cook top, my wife fell in love with the simmer button feature. We also found that the cooktop cools down fast when the dial is in the off position and heat up quickly when in the on position.
I LOVE Induction Cooking!
from Chandler, OK
I bought and installed my new Whirlpool induction cooktop April 1, 2015. I decided to start with a simple meal, cheeseburgers and fries. I unpacked and washed my new induction-ready cookware and got started. Being new to induction cooking, I fried the patties on 4 (too low in retrospect, which is a good thing), then put the peanut oil in the pan for the fries, set the cooktop at 9 with power boost. In about 30 seconds I dropped a small piece of potato in the oil and what do you know? It was already at frying temperature! In less than seven minutes I had crisp, golden French Fries! My caution with the patties caused them to take a bit longer, but the meal was great, and much time and energy was saved thanks to my new induction cooktop. I am a believer!
Great stove top. Would recommend to others in future
