This washer is less than a year old and it randomly eats or burns holes in our clothes. I wash about 3 to 4 loads a week and it has destroyed probably at least one item a week since I have owned it. Today was the last straw and I went and purchased a samsung washer to replace it when it ate my daughter's brand new swimsuit she wore once. They have already been out once and replaced the rubber seal but it started again almost immediately. I bought this washer because of the small load option but have regretted this purchase almost from the beginning. I replaced a frigidare front load washer that lasted us twelve years with absolutely no issues and would still have if the bearing had not gone out and would have cost more to repair than new one. Almost wish I would have taken that avenue now. Hopefully the samsung will be a better option. But I absolutely hate this whirlpool!!

Good product except warranty bad bearing seals
Comments about Whirlpool Duet WFW9150WW White Front Load Washer:
Washer when it works right it is very good. However it is well known recent Front Loading Whirlpool Washers seem to burn up their bearings in 2-4 years. Whirlpool only offers to replace parts and you eat service call to the tune of 3-400 dollars minimum. This one burned it's bearings after 3 years and now I have to replace out of pocket. And yet the dryer it came with spins along just fine no issues or bad bearings. It would be nice if Whirlpool owned this but no they blame it on normal warranty issue.

We bought a washer for a cheap price, works wonders so I recommend whirlpool products unlike the unreliable products of samsung and LG.

I have had this for five years. In five years have had four repairmen here to fix it. The last repair was $350. If I had a little more cash on hand I would have junked it and bought a top load non HE kenmore. Not surprised it's discontinued. It's junk
Worst Experience I Have Ever Had
By Disappointed Mom

This was the 3rd one replaced the first year I had it. All vibrated terribly on a concrete floor after several months. This one was tolerable for a while. Had a harness wire replaced last year. Now all 3 shocks need replacing. Doesn't clean well either. Will never have another front loader.

Another Four-Year Failure
By Whirlpool Quality
from Bay Area, CA
I bought this four years ago and it has died, requiring $$$ in repairs. Funny how many other reviews also say it lasted only four years. No wonder Whirlpool only offered a 1-year warranty on it -- the thieves knew it was junk. Small wonder this has been discontinued. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me: I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool product again. Awful company.

doesn't last long
from moncton, New Brunswick
I bought this washer in august of 2010. Since my last whirlpool front load washer only lasted 3 years, I got the extended warranty. In 2013, the motor let go....luckily I had the extended warranty. Now, the drum let go. Will definitely not be buying a whirlpool again.
Top of the Line or Just Junk you pick!!!
from Lakefield Ontario
I bought this machine in April 2011 figuring it would last my husband and I for a good many years, we are seniors. The drum died November 22, 2015. 4 1/2 years for a machine I was assured was top of the line. I don't think so!!!! The repair tech told me it would cost $700.00 to fix. Its now in the dumpster and I will never buy another whirlpool product. Junk is the only way to describe this piece of garbage we were sold.
Only lasted 4 years
