BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Ordered it to use on the road to watch movies from my Macbook Pro on my inlaw's TV over Easter, worked great for 3 days, then in the middle of a movie it stopped working, the module was rather hot to the touch, so I guessed it over heated. [...].I used it on at 42" Vizio Plasma and a 52" Sony, picture from a streaming movie was as good as could be expected, the quality was better when watching a DVD.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I used this to connect my Mac Mini to my HDTV and Surround Sound system. Works flawlessly to get 5.1 audio and HD video from my Mac Mini for use with Boxee/Hulu/FrontRow/whatever.
