Bought this after much research and price comparison. It fits our island perfectly and looks fantastic. Oven is a little slow to reach temperature. Gas burners are excellent. Simmer feature has been used a bunch and highly appreciated. Middle rear small burner is just right for slow heating soups. We are new to gas so have made a few mistakes and had to start over on some recipes. EZ oven rack is awesome, but sometimes slides too easily and it takes two people to handle a large dish. Convection works great. Hookup was easy and after bleeding air out of lines, burners lit with no trouble. Like the "Control Lock" feature as our cats like to check out the display from time to time. Only reason for some of the lower ratings is the oven heating issue, but we are getting used to it.

We purchased this range from our builder in 2010 with our home. It was converted to propane use, as our neighborhood has a central delivery propane system. It seems to cook very hot in comparison to natural gas, which I had previously. The range was very expensive (around $7500), yet the black finish on the top has totally burned off in spots after 3 years of fairly light usage. The black finish also scratches very easily. The burner covers are also discolored and un-cleanable. I also wish that this range had the option for a non-stick griddle. Disappointed in this KA range.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!

Comments about KitchenAid Commercial Style Dual Fuel Stainless Steel Range:
Buyers beware!!! High end price bottom of the barrel performance, quality and service!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! Purchased our original range for nearly $8,000.00 from Kiva back in 2009 and it's been a nightmare ever since. Any time you bake something in the oven, the moisture seeps up into the control panel and cause a shorted key error that renders the appliance locked and useless for days until it dries out. VERY VERY VERY POOR DESIGN!!. Had the panel replaced once under warranty with no relief. Our dream kitchen with Kitchenaid has been every bit a nightmare and we will never purchase their products again, and will warn others to stay clear. They added insult to injury by staunchly refusing to accept responsibility for their design flaw on this unit, and refused to do the right thing and provide us with a working replacement. Their only solution was for us to buy another one, at full price with free shipping???? Really???? We agreed to try again only because we really wanted all of the appliances to math in our kitchen, but after delivering two defective units back to back within 2 weeks, we finally opted to get our money back on the second purchase. However, we're still stuck with a useless range that we cant even give away, and will need to find a suitable replacement for now, probably Wolf or Viking. By far the worst company I've ever had to contend with as a consumer. Never have we felt so abused unappreciated and utterly abandoned by a company. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE SALES HYPE!! THE ONLY THING "HIGH END" ABOUT KITCHENAID, IS THE HIGH STRESS LEVEL!! SIGNED, WORN DOWN AND BEATEN!! JB
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This range is powerful and attractive. I can bake a full recipe of biscotti at one time the oven is so huge- not to mention that the convection feature is perfect for biscotti too. I can see roasting a 25 pound turkey in this oven with no problem. The burners are fabulous- instant intense heat when you need it.

This oven came in a new house and I have only used it a few times in the first three weeks. Looks good, works fine. I've noticed that the oven light comes on even when the door is closed. Either the door is faulty or perhaps the seal. This may improve as the seal breaks in and becomes less round. Also, the oven takes much longer to preheat than my former KitchenAid (even when I ensure the door is fully closed).
I bought this stove a couple of months ago to replace our electric range. We love gas and this was the perfect fit. Love the convection oven and the display/control is very easy to use. Heavy duty product. Commercial quality!

This range is wonderful. I love the heat optoons for the burners. The convection oven is nice to have to save time. I can back a whole batch of cookies at one time. The best thing about the range is that the burners are level. My previous range was so cheaply made that the top of the stove was not level. All your pots set lopsided.

Great Stove, Oven Long to Heat Up
We spent months researching dual fuel gas ranges and selected this over Wolf and other brands. Overall I'm so happy with the gas range and find it easy to clean, however the black of the grills is already wearing off and we have had it for 3 months - just light scratches. The oven bakes amazing. My one complaint is it takes FOREVER to heat up (with the exception of broil). My old Kitchenaid from 2000 heated up faster to 475F than this oven! Aside from this issue, would highly recommend.
Quite large for short people

The builder of our home provided this appliance. At first, I was very excited to own it. But it is huge compared to the ranges, stoves and ovens I've previously owned. The cast iron grates over the burners are very heavy and need to be removed often to clean the stove top. I am fairly short (5 ft 2 in), and the depth of the control panel, burner knobs, and oven handle in front of the range keeps me far away from the gas burners. The size of the oven is bigger than my needs. I also don't need all the oven features, such as the convection features.
