I love the idea of these and I love the reality, but Sony forgot one thing, the actual sound! The wireless capability is excellent. Also if you buy the sound dock/receiver with the two speakers, you can move the speakers in separate rooms, and have one play your iPod and the other play the radio tuner. Unfortunately, the sound is just not up to par. I am returning my set to Best Buy today. The bass is almost non existent, and when you crank them it sounds like a big AM radio. Sony, if you had only took the time to make speakers close to the Bose Wave quality level this would be a winner! Instead you have product collecting dust at retailers.

Firstly, this speaker does exactly what Sony advertised it would do, and that is, as an extension to the Wireless Audio Transmitter, these speakers are perfect, and work flawlessly...just as advertised. They plenty of output jacks for other systems if needed. I have applied them in a very large house, and the range is better than advertised. They are attractively built, and fit in very nicely with the traditional decor. The whole system has some very cool features for expanding. I have demanding standards for audio and would recommend this to anyone. Much, more flexible and expandable than Bose, which are super sounding, but limited flexibility.

Purchased this speaker to go along with my S-air enabled home theater system, but the reception is terrible. The specs say it can reach over 150 feet, but I've only been able to get it to work about 25 feet away. The location in the room I purchased the speaker for is about 50 feet from the stereo and it constantly drops the signal and if anyone walks by the speaker it completely loses the signal. I tried turning off my wifi, but that didn't help at all and we just have regular wallboard walls with open doors to the room with the speaker, so there is nothing that should block the signal. It just doesn't work very well. When I put it within 25 feet of the stereo it worked pretty well and the sound is very good when it works.
