Comments about Trane XV95 Series Two-Stage Gas Heating Furnace:

Have had this furnace for 2 years. So far no issues with it. Appreciate that it throws out heat much better than my 20 year old high efficiency furnace yet is quieter at the same time. Also, due to the increased efficiency I am saving nearly 100 $ / month in natural gas costs during the winter months.

Comments about Trane XV95 Series Two-Stage Gas Heating Furnace:

Bill Martos (sales) and his team did a fantastic job with the install of this new furnace. Tony and his partner rocked and were able to easily avert every obstacle that they encountered while trying to replace the 38 year-old furnace in our house, including the relocation of heating ducts discovered behind a wall that we opened up in the living room. Abt is still batting .1000 in my book.

Delivery prompt and courteous. My install company really works well with their customers. Came up with a fix for our small area of install do we will never get humidifier leaking into furnace again. Worked on all aspects of replacement.

Comments about Trane XV95 Series Two-Stage Gas Heating Furnace:

First, I want to caveat my "pros" when stating "better than Carrier" really to mean by comparison taking into account everything we were considering. Actually have been trying to pull that comment out but for some reason won't let me.

Also, only reason I'm not rating Trane as 5 stars is because we've had the furnace for less than a month. But, if you recall the whacky weather we've had in the Spring of 2013, have had a chance to test both heat and cooling pretty equally!

After comparing to an equivalent Carrier system w/two other contractors, decided to look at Trane because Abt is a store we trust. Had no idea how deep their HVAC section was with Trane products (exclusively).

After having a Carrier furnace with the house we bought over 22 years ago (and was installed years before that) the logical thing would've been to stick with Carrier. Both Carrier and Trane are industry-leading names, really can't go wrong with either. Punchline is that the Trane unit was SIGNIFICANTLY less costly with essentially same performance/efficiency! Going from a ~30 year-old furnace, anything would've been an upgrade.

Love the variable speed blower. We leave the fan on all the time, it's whisper quiet on low and keeps our old, drafty house evenly warmed/cooled. Had the benefit of an existing Honeywell electronic air cleaner which we asked Abt to retrofit with the new furnace. Though not a huge deal, we had purchased a Trane central a/c unit about 10 years ago, so now we have a fully compatible system. Very happy though less than a month of use.

      Service and delivery comments:

Great thing about Abt is that they sell only what they believe in. The service side is well-educated, delivery/install was as-scheduled and they showed me what was going on. After the installers left, I noticed an air leak along one of the sheet metal seams marrying the new furnace to the "A" coil for the a/c. All it really needed was a caulk job, Abt sent out another set of technicians on a Saturday morning, they gladly did the caulk job and checked for any other leaks as well. Been shopping with Abt for probably 30 years and always go back as much for the service as for the competitive pricing. Very pleased.
