Works great. My damp basement is now much drier and my tools, etc. have stopped rusting!! I wouldn't recommend this item in an area that needs total silence (living areas)since it's a little noisy even on low speed, but it works quite well and is easy to use & clean. The 2 or 4 hour auto run setting is a nice feature. Living in a coastal area with routine humidity of 75%+ this unit really helps.

Does an excellent job keeping the air dry in our basement.We use our basement as living space.No musty smell or mold.You feel as comfortable as if you were in the main house.Highly recommended.

Really gathers water out of the air. Fills the tank fast, too fast; I have to empty it frequently.

Hard to pour out the water without spilling.

I purchased this dehumidifier based upon ABT's website recommendation and video. However, it CANNOT delivered as promised. It is used in the basement of about 1000 square feet. It has run constantly for the past four weeks ( I let the unit sit for two days after delivery, one more than required as suggested by ABT to allow the refrigerant to settle after shipping) and it has not reduced the humidity below 50%. Considering that we are in a drought... I should have purchased a larger unit? Not very pleased.

After letting the box sit upright for a few hours after receieving via UPS (recommendation to allow refridgerent to settle) I fired it up and it was so quiet, I could hardly tell it was on. What a diffrence from my old unit that rattled. The next day I checked it and found the tank was already full, so knew it was working great. It was so nice that the unit did not turn back on when I removed the tank, but waited for me to replace it, after emptying, befoe starting back up. I like the digital read-out of humidity level to set it at the level you want. Also enjoy the 3 speed control, in those cases where you want it to circulate the air a little quicker. Great product in my eye's and glad I purchased it.

Service and delivery comments:

Quick deleivery, excellent tracking and a well packed (padded) box to prevent damage, all made this a very positive experience.
