My new de-humidifier has performed admirably in the 3 weeks I've owned it. It has all but eliminated a persistent mold problem in my bedroom. I also like how compact and portable the unit is. I can't compare its noise level to other models because I've never owned a dehumidifier before. I also can't report on how energy efficient it is because I haven't gotten my ultility bill yet. That said, I would recommend this unit to anyone who needs a good quality appliance at a reasonable price.

Seems like a good product. Kinda loud, I dont think I could sleep in a room its running in. Worked well for a damp basement, seems pretty efficient. Hose fits where its supposed to, the buttons work. For the $ I dont think you can go wrong.

on the quietness of unit I would say it is above average. Use it in the bedroom during the day and place it in the kitchen at night. Does the job.

This thing completely dried out my damp garage. A benefit (in the colder months) is that it puts out some heat as well - I don't know however if that feature would be desireable for an occupied room in summer months when humidity is at its highest. The water collection pan is a bit awkward, but having the hose attachment as an option is a HUGE plus.

Service and delivery comments:

ABT gooned up my original order. I originally ordered a 50 pint machine. After waiting for it for two weeks with no delivery, I called ABT to find out that the particular model was no longer carried. Had I not called, I likely would not have found out for weeks to come that my order was not going to be filled. To make up for their mistake however, ABT sold me a smaller machine (which in the end was a better fit for my needs), promptly refunded the difference, and gave me the optional drainage hose. My package arrived as expected and in great shape. ABT stumbled at first, but recovered well.

I have a quad level home which has a half basement as well as a full basement. I use the 30LN unit in the half basement and the difference has been remarkable both in feel, smell and comfort level. I love it!

Bucket size is adequate for 2 bedroom apartment. Difficult to find a happy medium between always and never running.
