It's used many time a day to make tea, coffee and
hot chocolate. Although it doesn't beep, according to the manual it should, when the water is ready, I refused to send it back for a replacement. I needed it that much.

Use it almost every day. In addition to being able to set different heating temperatures, I especially like the keep warm feature.

This is a great kettle. I just turn it on when I first walk into the kitchen and by the time I have the French press ready, my water is hot. Also, it's the only kettle I found that's lined in stainless so you're not getting any plastic along with your hot water. I haven't cleaned it yet but I imagine a bottle brush is all that's needed. You can't really reach down into it becuase of the way the lid is hinged, but a bottle brush would work just fine. It's got a great sleek design that's nice on the counter too, and the outside doesn't get too hot either. I am very pleased with this purchase.

We use electric kettles several times daily for hot tea, Ice tea and oatmeal. My search for the perfect water kettle has ended with the Cuisinart CPK-17. The one touch water temperature selector is so much easier than the Pino or Chefs Choice manual single digit up and down button. The 360* swivel base makes it easier to place back in the stand than the Capresso that has a to be put back in a single position.
The water stays hot for 30 minutes with the keep warm button. The Capresso turns off when selected temperature is met. The Chefs Choice Smart Kettle turns off as soon as you lift it from the base.
The blue illumination lets you see the water level when the kettle is on and lets you easily see what temperature you have selected.
The Cuisinarts brushed stainless sleek design would be attractive on any counter surface. Even though there is some noise to the boiling of the water the soft tone of the 3 beep water temperature notification would not wake even the lightest sleeper.
Even though I have always used the 195* and 208* that are not on this kettle I am adjusting to the 190* and 200* and have not found any difference in the quality of my tea.
I have given away my other kettles and I am getting ready to order a backup CPK-17 kettle. I love the Cuisinart CPK-17

We bought this electric kettle to repalce our previous Cuisinart electic kettle which after 7 years of hard use stopped working.

I like the style of this electric kettle and temp choices for different types of teas. The kettle's blue light makes it look very high tech. I don't really like the handle on this kettle as well as I did on my previous Cuisinart electric kettle.
