I got this LG dongle specifically to use with my LG 55" LED HD Flat screen TV (LG gives no choice). I wanted to be able to stream movies from Netflix and other providers without hard wiring a Lan cable. I was able to install it with no problems (plug n play) and it started right away. The signal strength was pretty good and had no problems streaming movies (occasional stop in streaming). I have a high speed 801.11 n router in the garage about 30 ft away. I had an LG blue Ray player that I had purchased with my TV that had wireless capability, but it simply did not get the signal well enough. I returned it and bought this dongle that works great. The price was good at [$].

What we have is..failure to Communicate!

Ordinarily it is safe to assume that a device like this which is manufactured specifically to handle one simple function will work...wrong!
Device was very easy to install and identified my network right away. Unfortunately, it never connected to my network. I have many years of experience with wired and wireless networks but after trying every encryption method and reviewing every technical manual/help blog etc. I ended up with the same result: "Connection Failed!"

I ended up installing a Cat5 LAN cable w/RJ45 connectors myself - works perfectly.

Item was so easy. I never had an install go as easy as this. Started with an upgrade 1st to TV and went right to application after that. Netflix was like any other app. on internet. So easy monkey can install with 1 touch button!!!! Sorry for guys who had sooo much trouble with their set-up :{(
