This TV is great. The picture is amazing and it is very easy to use. My only complaint (and it is minor) is I wish there was a way to lock the stand from pivoting. My kids find it fun to push the TV back and forth.

We waited until our cathode ray tube TV died before buying an HD flat panel TV. Our most recent TV had a decent run (only 7 years), but not great. (We've had some TVs last for a couple decades.) We like to use things as long as they still work; we're not ones to buy something when we have a serviceable enough product already. So our desire for getting our money's worth with a quality, reliable product is high. We decided on this model (42LK520) after our research, and have been pleased so far. Great picture, great options for adjusting color, screen size and ratio, de-blur and anti-judder settings, and a number of other features. Has an RF connector, USB port, HDMI ports, A/V cable ports --- everything we wanted. Great sound, so there was no need to buy a sound system. Sturdy, too --- one of our toddlers likes to try and "play" with the TV, and the TV has held up. Very happy with this television. Hope it lasts at least as long as the old TV, if not longer. Time will tell.

Set up was very easy. Put in bedroom, excellent clarity at about 25'. Has plenty of sound for bedroom.

This is the best tv I have ever owned. It is easy to use, setup, and understand the interface. I have owned the tv since 1-05-12 and am well pleased with the purchase. I see more LG products in my future.

I bought the LG 42LK520 42" TV after months of looking at both web reviews and statistics and looking a many different models and brands at stores. It finally came down to the features I wanted, other peoples reviews as to quality and satisfaction in their own homes, and, of course, price. I have had this TV for 5 months now and am completely satisfied with it. The colors are brilliant and the sharpness of the the HD TV channels and blu-ray movies blow my mind.

Must haves was a usb port, hdmi, and earphone jack. Not very many tv's have the earphone jack in the price range that I was looking at. Picture is alot better than the cable or internet service that I have. Only complaint is the lag time between the remote and the tv doing something.

This is the BEST TV I have ever owned! When people come over to my house they ALWAYS comment " look at that picture!" I always make sure to tell them " I know it's an LG"
