I switched to this refrigerator from a very large, all refrigerator, commercial model. I couldn't stand the noise any longer from the large compressor but was afraid I would not have enough room. I am a serious cook and cook everything from scratch every day. I am delighted to say that this refrigerator has room for everything. I'm using the freezer section to store grains and flours rather than as a freezer. I prefer a freezer without a defrost cycle. But the refrigerator has a lot of room and the interior design is just brilliant with the door bins and the pull out platter bin. The crispers are also nice and hold a lot. I had none of this before, just a huge box with deep shelves. I am very happy with my Kitchen-Aid refrigerator and the bonus is, it is amazingly quiet. It is more than quiet. It is silent. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is the water line has not been hooked up so I can't rate that aspect. Also, while I like the glass shelves , it seems more difficult to slide items on them.

Service and delivery comments:

poor delivery service: driver complained about delivery to 2nd floor; light damage on wall in stairway & didn't have courtesy to let me know, damage to side of fridge, again didn't let me know; complained he needed special equipment and/or 4 men to haul it up to 2nd floor - very dissapointed. Second team who delivered second fridge very courteous very helpful as I expected from ABT.

We were searching for a French Door Frig with an internal water dispenser under 69" height in order to fit under our kitchen cabinets. Not a lot of choices out there. This was perfect for both our criteria! No regrets so far. Fingerprints on stainless steel is not too bad if you use a SS cleaner/polish. We had side-by-side previously- more space/ ability to organize with this FrenchDoor version.

I purchased this refrigerator in June, 2012. It is now Feb. 2013 and the freezer has not been working for a month. The unit runs continuously trying to cool the freezer that will not cool without the needed part...which is on back order until next month. I had to throw away all of the food in the freezer and, of course, will have to pay for the extra electricity being used by this defective product. I want a new refrigerator to replace this one.

We bought all new SS appliances and love all...they look great and perform even better!
The delivery/service people were great. We were laying new flooring and the DW was a troublesome fit, they took it back and came back another day after flooring completed. Were very careful of our new floor...& all with a smile!

This refrigerator has failed 7 months after purchase. I need a new temperature sensor for which I have to wait 5 days. In the meantime, I will loose all my food. ABT will bring a loaner in a couple of days, but not sure if the food will last that long. I work and cannot stay home to wait for service calls and courtesy refrigerators. Research the Internet before buying Kitchen Aid. I wish I had done so before purchasing.

I am appalled that the freezer has stopped working within 7 months of purchase. I have to take a day off from work for a service call. Based on other negative reviews, I am fearing this might not be easily resolved.

Great refrigerator. Terrible ability to adjust dividers in freezer. Had to return to store and they couldn't figure it out! Finally, I pried it off and snapped the plastic and threw them out.

Service and delivery comments:

Excellent delivery service from ABT, as always. Easy to do business with and their people are not used car salesman like all the other appliance stores. Wouldn't buy anywhere else even if price is lower. Only thing wrong I noticed is they left a screw off a plastic cap on top. No big deal, but for 2K, should be perfect.

I like the inside water dispenser/filter. Do not like the fact that the freezer basket cannot be taken out for cleaning. I have dropped ice cubes behind the bottom basket and don't know how to get them out. Kitchen Aid says it is designed that way for safety reasons and requires a service call to remove the bottom basket. This is ridiculous! Have never had a frig that you couldn't take apart for cleaning!
