Probably best for just a small room, but I am using it for three rooms in a small apartment and it is cooling great (but I am running it on high 24/7). Front panel sometimes vibrates and gets noisy, but a little tap usually corrects this. Only negative is that the air flow direction control has a very limited range.

I'm using this for a two-bedroom apartment, a bit bigger than it is recommended for. With a floor fan, you can expand it's reach a bit further than the recommended room size. Although it hasn't been tested yet in full summer here, it is working fine so far.

This air conditioner does work pretty well. Just keep in mind it's only for very small rooms. Also, the dimensions listed do not include the width of the side panels which add another few inches on either side. And, if you don't have hanging windows, you'll have to get creative with the installation.

I am overall happy with it though, since it's inexpensive, cools the room down, and is actually pretty quiet as air conditioners go.

Such a great design and so easy to lift even for
one who has had a couple of back surgeries and is
a small person.
I just can't stand how LOUD it is! DUE TO THE NOISE I STOPPED USING IT AND PUT THE FAN ON.
Will have to use in another room other than a bedroom. SAD BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO PUT ONE IN EVERY BEDROOM CAUSE IT IS SO LIGHT, EASY TO INSTALL, LOOKS GREAT AND COOLS WELL.

Product used in a 3 BR 3BA historical cottage. I bought 4 units - two for main level and two for upper level. Units do a great job - they are quiet, easy to install and cool the whole floor / house. I thought I might need a couple more (one for each room) but the ones I have are more than adequate.

This is an ideal air conditioner for one small to medium room. With the door closed it reaches a really cold temperature; I leave it on when I am out for a few hours so my pets can get the use of it. The best is it is easy to operate - I much prefer manual controls than losing the remote all the time.

We've had few really hot days so far this summer, so my toughest criterion (can I sleep with it turned on? I'm a light sleeper) hasn't yet met its real test, but so far this window air conditioner seems to have been a great deal. The box weighed 42 lbs., which I could just barely lift, but my daughter's boyfriend was happy to help, and it installed really easily, thanks also to excellent instructions in a PDF. I live in an odd-shaped studio apartment, shaped kind of like a capital Y, with the main room being one of the top branches and my computer workstation in the base of the Y, around 400 sq.ft. total. The unit has no trouble cooling the main room, which is about 170 sq.ft., and it's quiet enough that I can relax or work in that room without it getting on my nerves as air conditioners sometimes have in the past. That main room is where I sleep, and I'm learning to sleep with the unit on, so far I've only had to 3 or 4 nights, and I don't know yet what I'll think about sleepability by the end of the summer. The computer area at the base of the Y doesn't get nearly as cool even if I add a fan at the doorway of the main room, but a few days ago when it was 95 degrees and humid, after the unit had been on for an hour or two, it was cool and pleasant enough that I could work comfortably at the computer for the rest of the day, which was my 2nd criterion. I had very little money to spend and am very pleased that I was able to find something so inexpensive that works.
