Clothes simple do not get cleaned. Water levels are very low leaving a great deal of the clothes dry in the wash cycle. Clothes come out with white marks all over them, and they smell dirty. This is an very expensive machine that does not do its basic function - that is get clothes clean. The "Owner's Manual" that comes with the washer doesn't tell you much, because the machine is nothing but bells and whistles to distract you - I wish LG had spent more time on engineering a good product than an expensive waste of money.

This washer is exactly as it has been described. I enjoy doing laundry and I have tried almost all the possible cycles this washer has to offer and it worked great every time. I bought the top loading washer because I live in Florida and I can use it to store water in case of hurricane. This washer's tub is so large that I do only 3 loads of clothes every 7-10 days - light colored, dark colored and towels/sheets. I wash my pillows and big comforters and even my saris (6 yard long fabric) without getting them wrinkled. All this...in the comforts of my home...at my convenience...saving soap, water and money...what else do I need? hmm...warranty? I could purchase extended warranty for 4 more years. I think buying this LG washer-dryer pair is one of the best investments I have made :)

After 19 years my washer and dryer needed to be replaced. Looking at washers and dryers today is a whole new ballgame. Everything is energy efficient, and you have to learn to wash clothes all over again. I did an extensive amount of research prior to buying my machines, and I must say it really paid off. I also spent a great deal of time reading the blogs regarding customer complaints. I took notes and went to several dealers that carried the LG model I researched; I asked the pertinent questions about the issues on the blogs and received answers that addressed the issues satisfactorily. Armed with the answers to my various questions, in June I purchased an LG washer and dryer, which was the top rated machine for the features I was looking for. I am very pleased with my washer, and I will admit it takes some getting used to. You have to learn how to load the machine and adjusting to washing durations, and how specific you want to be with your settings. Once you've mastered that - it is truly a pleasure to do laundry. And, it is fascinating to watch the machine balance and cycle. I can readily understand some of the complaints on the blogs, because the operation of these new machines does take some getting used to. However, I have no complaints at all. My clothes come out clean; they spin at a faster rate, which results in reduced drying time and I have more options available. This truly is a GREAT washer!

A lot of great features and this unit cleans fantastic but just after the 1 year warranty this machine is rusting all around the perimeter just around the tub. This is terrible. $350 dollar washers don't even rust. This is really the worst thing that could happen. DO NOT BUY.

At first I really thought that this price was a bit high, but i love the machine. It is quiet, has a huge capacity, and a million settings. It also looks nice which is important to me because there is no door on my laundry room.

We love this washer, it works great, cleans everything great, very efficient, high tech, large capacity, smooth operation, no vibration or mechanical noise. It's been in use for two months and no issues.

I love the washer size and the different features it has. It's quiet and has a nice tune to signal the end of a wash cycle. My only problem is that the clothes do not come out clean unless I add extra soap to the load itself. The soap compartment is not large enough for the amount of soap needed to wash a large load of active children's clothes. Like the other reviews, my bleach compartment does not empty completely. I've only been using it for two months, so I guess I should be looking for rust. Other than that, I love it.

Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality I got this top load washing machine to replace my front load machine and I am very pleased. It does a great job, My Dress Shirts come clean with no problems. the front load machine I had was sure to leave spots on my shirts that was not there before I put them in the wash. Cloths feel and smells fresh. I purchased it without my wife knowing it and gave my one and half year old front load washer and dryer away. She said she didn't like it but she wash every day. When I iron my shirts I dont have to worry about ironing two or three shirts before I can find one without spots. I've told others about my machine. Love It !!!!
