We use this dehumidifier in a 1,000 Sq Ft office space. It' a little loud while it's running, but very effective at dehumidifying so that our printer/copier doesn't jam.

I've had this in my small bedroom (roughly 10'x12') and it works great at keeping the humidity down. I have to empty the bucket every other day to keep it between 40% - 50% humidity. It's much louder than I thought it would be, but noise at night doesn't bother me.

Great companion to thru the wall A/C during extremeily humid periods. Super easy to use: placement with intake on front and out vent on top helps in placing in less obtrusive location, acccess to and ease of removal of water reservoir. Manual control rather than digital, which are never correct anyway. Takes some time to figure out where to set control by trial and error. I place mine in a low sided rubber drip pan and place on 18" high table. More effective than on floor. As far as noise level, it is quieter than my A/C on low fan. No interference with TV or phone converstions. Nice white noise at night.

This unit has a 25 pt capacity. My space is less than 500 sq ft of living space and according to all tables should be able to more than adequate to remove humuidity in my room to a desirable level; my building has been renovated, well insulated and Anderson double pane windows and my room faces north It has run nonstop for 5 days, does remove some humidity,however ( I have emptied the reservoir many times). The humidity level has not gone below 44% and averages 50%. It is a nondescript unit and just blends in and the noise level is tolerable. The dimensional size and portability are great. I have tried it in several locations in my room - both on the floor and a low table- with no difference in performance. Unfortunately this unit is being returned and the alternative is no longer available at ABT.
