Comments about Nikon COOLPIX S6000 Champagne Silver 14.2 Megapixel Digital Camera:
Had the camera on two month and because it uses double AA batteries we changed them out often. Not durable for wear and tear on the battery cover. I have to use tape because it broken and they would not warranty. I DO NOT recommend this product.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I love my camera. It is small. Takes great pics.

This little camera is light, takes great pictures. Put in sans disk 4GB, I can take over 850 pictures. That is more than enough pictures for any vacation. I love it. Thanks.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is my latest travel camera. Every incarnation of these little guys has been an improvement. Its a nice small package with lots of great features. Anti motion, 7-1 zoom, large view box, protected lens, 14.2 mpx and very easy start up and controls. I just hope it will be durable.

Comments about Nikon COOLPIX S6000 Silver 14.2 Megapixel Digital Camera Kit:
My 2003 Olympus was wonderful, but I wanted something more up to date with a quicker recharge, better backlight correction and "burst" mode without spending the money for an SLR. (I just take pics of the dogs, friends and kids!)My pictures with the Nikon have not been as clear as I would like and many have been blurred (unless using the sports/action mode). My ex-wife has a Canon point and shoot that was $30 less and seems to take a perfect picture every time (but doesn't have the burst mode, which is the reason I bought the Nikon.)I'm the first to admit that I have to spend a few hours studying the manual to figure out the 50 things this camera does and, hopefully, after studying it thoroughly, I'll come out with a better quality picture. So I may be judging too quickly, but I'm still impressed with my ex's Canon that had no learning curve at all. (She barely knows where to find the button to take the picture!)
