Comments about KitchenAid Architect Series Stainless Steel Undercounter Dishwasher:
This dishwasher is easy to keep clean with a solid stainless steel cleaner and is consistent with how it washes as long as it is loaded properly.

Extremely dissatisfied with this dishwasher
By Dishwasherless in Seattle
We were initially very happy when we replaced our noisy 25 year old dishwasher with this KitchenAid. We could watch TV and run the the dishwasher at the same time! Within 3 years we had spent more on service calls and labor than we did on the dishwasher (replacement parts were covered under warranty). Now it's not even cleaning properly, and we are faced with buying another dishwasher. Within 4 years of purchase. What I wouldn't do for my old dishwasher. KitchenAid should be ashamed to put its name on its product. What once stood for a high quality product is now a consumer scam.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Do not buy! Not worth the money!
from Richmond va
I've had this dishwasher for 3 years...have spent more on repairs than it cost! Silverware basket has broken in 3 places. It looks nasty inside and does not perform like a Kitchen Aid product. I would not recommend this to anyone! It's very loud and the design of the handle makes it hard to clean the stainless. It always looks messy around the handle.

First dishwasher I have had that actually has gotten the job done right.[...] it was worth the extra bucks for the quality.

washes well, but drying not so well

Very attractive design. Unheated drying, even if the items are left for a long time, leaves silverware wet. The interior is large and holds a great many items, although the lower tray tends to want to slide off its railings.

very tall tub, affordable stainless

I got a great deal on this washer along with a rebate from KitchenAid. It was a little tough to install as there is little room underneath. I also had a tough time finding the special hose fitting for the water supply line. Very pleased with it so far. Only complaint is that the racks are really light and don't feel as sturdy as a previous KitchenAid dishwasher. The bottom rack easily slips off the track but if you're careful it is ok.
