Replaced BMW Factory 'HiFi' amp

I replaced the factory amplifier in my 2011 BMW 328i with this unit. I experienced a remarkable improvement in sound as a result. I would recommend this be the first step for anyone with an e9x 3 series BMW having the 'HiFi' sound package.

Well, there's so much to say about this magnificent and fine piece of amp. This amp is installed on a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta.The first thing to say about it begins with its crystal clear sound, in my case this amp is driven by an 5 years old pioneer car stereo cd player. From the first-setup testing I noticed a huge difference from the previous amp from Pioneer that was installed on my car.I used 5 of the 6 channels of this amp, 4 channels are connected to a set of 6x9" 160 watts MB Quart speakers, the other channel drives an 12" Cerwin Vega single coil bass.So I began the testing playing a song from Enigma called "Sadness" the sounds from this song is a challenge to any sound system due to the deepness of the bass and the crisp of the high tones.The sound is just immaculate, crystal clear on the speakers as well in the bass, even with the volume set at 90%. Every sound is perfect, bass is loud with a really hard punch.The size of this amp is another plus, in my case I placed it where is supposed to be installed the factory amp. It fitted so well that it looks like the OEM.Really easy to set up and adjust. Its flexibility and degree of control are head and shoulders above anything else that I've seen in an automotive amplifier.Since every channel has it own crossover, you can adjust the frequency range for every set of speakers. By doing this, the distortion level on high volume can be eliminated and the efficiency and frequency response of the speakers maximized.This amp that won't quit no matter how heartlessly you drive it. After running the amp for about 2 hrs with the volume set at 75% I checked the temperature on it and it was barely warm the heavy duty aluminum heat sinks not only look good, but are efficient as well.. So the engineering inside have to be top of the line, low consumption, low operating temperature, high efficiency at any level of demand. The adaptive power supply really scores some extra points where it matters-driving speakers. Think of it as one of those high-current amps that has enough sense to know when it's not driving a low impedance load. The amp uses the higher rail voltages to increase current flow and, therefore, power into higher impedances.CONS: Lack of bolts and nuts to attach it to the vehicle's body the only hardware that comes with it is the allen wrench to tight and release the screws for the wiring connections.So, a Home Depot visit is necessary to get 4 cylindrical allen head screws with its bolts and washers in order to attach it to the vehicle.My impression for this amp is that if you are looking for something that can fit even under you seat and at the same time can literally blow off you hears and can afford it JUST GET IT !!! it worth the money. The world has never seen so much amplification in such a diminutive package.
