When my wife and I were hunting for a fridge, we wanted one without an external water dispenser because we rarely would use it (we have a filtered pitcher we like to use) and it would otherwise collect dust and scale. When we came across this one, it had everything we wanted and for the right price. The shelving is more than adequate for a family of four (we have a one and two year old) and can easily hold 2 gallons of milk, all our condiments and 2 juice or soda bottles (the 2 liter ones). The pull out freezer holds more than we expected it would....and we have yet to cram it to the point where we can't hold more (going on 6 months of use). The temperature stays very stable even after repeated opening and loading groceries. The veggie crispers work very well and the large pull out tray is very convenient either for holding platters or thawing frozen meats for 1-2 days use. Cleaning has been almost unnecessary except when something spills and even then it is very easy to wipe up...nothing has dripped down or off of it's shelf...yet (not that I'd expect it to). The electricity consumption rating is accurate if not a little overkill...we left it at factory setting (38 fridge, 30 freezer) and this has been very adequate. Ice cubes form within an hour or two. We have not used the water hook up feature or the ice dispenser but as a fridge/freezer...this was everything I wanted and more. Plus, the stainless steel looks awesome.

I like the French Door concept, but I wish I checked other brands. The refrigerator does not offer the room that I had with my top freezer. Not sure if we didn't notice the door was not tightly closed or if there was an issue when we packed a lot of food in the freezer but the items on the top shelf began to thaw. We lost our ice cream, and some frozen dinners.

Lots of room, love that the freezer is on the bottom. You can find things easier in the fridge without bending over.

Nice looking. Shelves to low can not adjust to fit tall things like Milk juice and other things. If you adjust them to fit a tall thing it makes things on lower and upper to low Shelves. Ice tray hard to access.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this fridge a few weeks ago for my new house and I love it! There is lots of storage and I like the feature of having water available whenever but not on the outside. I read a lot of reviews about people having problems when the water is on the outside before shopping and when I told the salesman, he recommended this refrigerator. It is a little awkward where it's located but not a problem at all. I am very satisfied with this refrigerator so far!

I bought this along with 4 other Kitchenaid appliances. The crisper drawers a cheap & flimsy. Not on rollers. I didn't notice that when I purchased it. So the drawers are very difficult to close. Tech did put some food grade lubricant on them, which helped. He indicated that the factory "forgot" to put it on. Second is water filter. It slows down the ice making process greatly. The first tech that came out knew zero about what was causing the problem. The second tech said "remove the filter because you already have a reverse osmosis"...... It only makes 9 ice cubes per hour........ FYI... the tech told us this. The drawer for lunchmeats is a hoot. Slides easily, very accessible. No place to put soda, like my old Amana.

Bought this a month ago, and it started out a little rough. 1st thing was the broken drawer inside the brand new fridge, 2nd was the filter water port didn't work. A week later when they replaced the drawer, they figured out the problem on the water also. So for now it's all good.
