Best Purchase Ever
Comments about Panasonic Full Size 2.2 Cu Ft Genius Prestige Microwave Oven:
best microwave on the market.reliable, excellent quality, cooks great,evenly-large portions are a snap-tried other brands-Sharp,Emerson,didn`t last like this one-have bought Panasonic over 20 years-only drawback is the dial-goes to five space intervals-prefer buttons but can easily be compensated with practice-will buy this product again
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The BEST Microwave I've EVER owned!

About Me Avid Cook
This really is the very best microwave oven I have ever owned - I bought it a year ago from ABT and have waited until now to write a review to see how it performed. Flying colors! It's been fantastic for everything for everything from the usual frozen dinners & popcorn to pumpkin custard at Thanksgiving. It also manages to stay odor-free, unlike my past microwaves that have seemed to absorb food odors. I couldn't be happier and am writing this because other people taking the time to write reviews have helped me in the past. Thanks!

This is the 5th microwave oven I've owned and the first turbo model. I've been using tis oven for about 6 months. I'm pleased with the technology improvements with each and this on is great on the interior room. This oven is 2.2 cu. ft. & it fits in a space of one that was about 1.5 cu. ft. I can fit a 2 quart rectangular casserole dish inside and it easily rotates on the oversized turntable. The stainless and black style fits in well with other appliances even though they aren't the same brand. The 30 min. manual dial for cooking takes some getting used to. It is limited in chosing min. and seconds if you're used to exact times. The increases are 1 second up to 10 sec, 5 sec. up to 60 sec., 10 sec. up to 5 min., 15 sec. up to 10 min., & 30 sec up to 30 min. You can use high power and dial cooking time or manually push the power button to set the cooking level and then dial time(up to 30 min.)time. You can set multiple cooking power levels and times using the power button and dial. You can also add 1 min. increments to any cooking with the "quick min." button. Turbo defrost is convenient because it uses the weight dialed in to defrost items but I have to watch because it will start to cook some foods before the defrost stops. The "sensor cook" works by pushing the button and then dialing a number to correspond to a food. Food is sensed after "start" to cook it properly; you have to watch this until you're used to the speed at which cooking occurs. There is a list printed of foods inside the door but I have to refer to the manual for foods not listed (chicken is one not listed). There are "reheat" and "keep warm" features but I've only used reheat twice; it seemed to perform ok.
