Simple to use; don't need to read the manual to operate the mircowave. The pre-set buttons and display are very easy to understand and use.

I bought this because I needed a ventilation hood that would recirculate into the house with a clean exhaust. Everyone said "I'm perfectly happy with a recirculating hood! This will be fine!" Well, it isn't. Here are my beefs about the hood function: 1. It's noisy, with an irritating high-pitched whine; 2. Smoke and grease from the front burners of the stove go up the front of the microhood and aren't captured at all; 3. Smoke and grease that ARE captured are exhausted out the top of the unit, where they leave greasy marks on the front of the cabinets above. (This microwave, like most, is an inch or two deeper than the surrounding cabinets. Therefore, the top-venting exhaust runs along the face of the cabinet doors above.) I had looked at another combination microwave/hood that vented its exhaust out the front instead of out the top. I wish I'd gone with that one. More to the point, I wish I'd figured out a way to ventilate to the outside world, where I'd wanted to send the exhaust in the first place. And yes, all the filters are in place. The microwave functions themselves are awesomely good. As another reviewer noted, the keypad can be a bit stiff and the sweet spot for each button is small, but that's only a minor quibble. The programming functions and the power are great. It's neat to be able to microwave on racks. I haven't explored half the possibilities but I can see that this microwave, like my home computer, has a lot of features that I'll love. So: great microwave, but poor range hood. Given that the range hood was more important to me, I probably wouldn't buy it again. In fairness I'll note that my husband, who is not nearly as fussy about odors and grease as I am, does not share my reservations.

Comments about LG Stainless Steel Over-The-Range Microwave Oven:
We have had this microwave for a few months now, and it seems well built and the sensor cooking feature is great. Clean up is easy inside and out. We think it's a great product for the price.

I had researched on Consumer Reports and other consumer reviews for this microwave and decided to buy it. It has great features and the fan works quietly, A great product for the price.

Great features and lots of style

Not quite up to my expectations of the usual quality of all my other LG appliances. It's performance is excellent. The problem I face is a very noisy fan located just above the control panel. LG sent out someone to fix it, but the noise came back. Gladly it doesn't effect the functionality or performance
This product is a good value

I am very happy with this microwave. It has clean lines and plenty of features/cooking options.
Broken after 1.5 years
Our LMV1813ST microwave broke after using it for a year and a half. It no longer heats up food. Despite the 10 year magnetron warranty the repair tech says it is not worth fixing since we have to pay for the labor to replace it. He suggested buying a new microwave. Disappointing .

Great value for the money. I've had this unit for over a month and so far the positive reviews for this product are validated. No complaints!

I don't use a microwave often. Having issues with condensation in the glass on the door. Works great, just not to thrilled about that.
Lg 1813st microwave
Bought this microwave for replacement of lg microwave model 1630st that I only had for three years broke three times. The 1813 model has nice features and it vents outside. I hope it will lasts longer than three years if this one breaks on me I will never buy lg product again. I like to rate products after I have it for one or two years on reliability. Since I only had it for a month I can only comment on the features. The only complaint I have is the exhaust vent makes a clicking noise when turn on. Looks nice, has lights, timer, sensor cooking, and timer for vent exhaust to shut off 2 ,5, minutes.
