A lot of reviewers say Weber's products are overpriced compared to similar grills, but the one we replaced was 13 years old and still working fine. We just wanted something with more burners and more features.

We've cooked just about everything so far in the few weeks we've had the grill and have yet to be disappointed. It heats up fast, produces a wide range of very even heat, and cooks with direct heat with little to no grease flare-up. Construction is solid like all of Weber's products. The sear burner and the built in rotisserie are probably the two features that sold me on stepping up to this grill over Weber's Genesis line.

There are a couple of minor things I'm not crazy about. The smoker box is not very effective, and would be nice to have that grill grate space back. Also it would be nice if the warming rack simply flipped up out of the way, rather than having to completely remove it when not in use.

Otherwise this is a fantastic grill!

Having owned 3 Webers prior to this one, I am extremely brand loyal. The quality of their grills coupled with their customer service is second to none. I was very excited to finally get a Summit grill and it did not dissappoint. The grill is way more substantail in construction (and weight) than the Spirit or Genisis series. It comes almost completely assembled in a VERY large box, and it takes about an hour to finish assembley. The key features of the S-470 for me were a dedicated burner for the smoker box (which works like a champ), built in rotissery motor & infared burner, and side burner. Added bonuses are the sear station, lighted control knobs, propane guage (which is actually accurate), and storage for the rotisserie forks & spit under the grill. The ignition system fires up instantly, the grill heats up quickly, and it grills evenly. The rotisserie spit comes with 2 sets of forks so you can do 2 chickens at once. I purchased the Weber 7554 cover and it fit like a glove - no vents in this model to leak. My only, very small complaint is that Weber decided to not put a handle on the rotisserie spit. Not sure the logic on this as it was helpful in moving food on my Genesis. If you are looking for the best 4 burner grill on the market, you have found it.

So far, we have not found anything that we do not like about this grill; except the price. Never thought we'd pay this much; but it is an exceptional grill....we bought it mainly for the rotisserie and we absolutely love it. Only one we found with rotisserie that we thought was good enough. Go for it!!!!
