By best in class I mean for this size (18.5 cu. ft.), which is the smaller end of full-sized refrigerators. It has a high-end look and is real stainless steel (magnets stick to it), unlike the one it replaced which looked like stainless steel, but must have been some kind of fiberglass. I don't hear any of the noises that other people have mentioned except perhaps when new ice drops into the receptacle, but how often does that happen in a day? The refrigerator compartment is average in terms of capacity and has gallon-sized shelves, which is a huge plus. Oddly, there is no tray for eggs, so the crate has to be placed on one of the glass shelves. I can't remember a refrigerator I've ever had that didn't have a place for eggs on the door, but oh well. The freezer compartment is probably a little smaller than models in the same class that feature the freezer on top of the refrigerator. This is because in order to make the freezer more functional, pullout trays were installed. This reduces the space somewhat, but saves you from having to crouch down in front of the freezer to reach something in the back. I don't use my freezer for much more than ice and vodka, so it's no biggie for me but if you're a freezer power user this may affect you. I can’t tell you how happy I am to finally own a bottom freezer refrigerator; or more importantly, a top refrigerator refrigerator. If you’re 6’ tall or taller, it’s a real back saver.

I was really excited to buy this refrigerator as it looked good and fit the limited space I had. The freezer is a little small but I could live with that. However, after 15 months I'm getting puddles of water in my kitchen which I'm told will require replacement of the defrosting unit. With only a 12 month warranty I'm out of luck on the cost of the repair.

I purchased this refrigerator to take to my new home. It fits perfectly in the spot. Since I am the only one here, the size is perfect.

Fridge on top!

With both of us have back and/or knee problems, not having to bend down all the time has been a blessing. Also, we don't "lose" things and end up with an unpleasant surprise later!

It is very nice to finally see what is in the veggie drawers. I do not throw away food anymore. The door is perfect to store many articles.
Top refrigerator spacious freezer with icemaker. Energy Star

Purchased1 month ago to have spacious refrigerator at eye level with adjustable shelves and bins to make storing food more convenient. A beautiful addition to my Log cabin vacation home. Ice maker in spacious freezer is great, less time with open door using energy.
Stay with Whirlpool

I replaced my 20 year old top freezer Whirlpool with this 19 cu/FT bottom freezer model because 1) it will save on utility bills and 2) it is more convenient to store/see/use food items. The bottom freezer unit is convenient to use, especially the large capacity (and quiet) ice maker. This unit is very quiet, even quieter than my almost silent 1994 Whirlpool. After extensive internet comparisons, Whirlpool came out on top. And it's made in the USA!
Fine little fridge.

We like this fridge but do not love this fridge. It looks nice and the bottom freezer is a preferred feature for us. The Energy Star rating on this model was also important to us. The downside is that the size feels surprising smaller than we thought it would be since it was about the same measurements as the fridge we replaced. Somehow we are always struggling to fit our food in there. The inside top temperature control area takes up a lot of room that could be used. The freezer doesn't seem to hold as much either. Overall, we like the quality brand but should have bought something a little larger to suit our needs.
