By best in class I mean for this size (18.5 cu. ft.), which is the smaller end of full-sized refrigerators. It has a high-end look and is real stainless steel (magnets stick to it), unlike the one it replaced which looked like stainless steel, but must have been some kind of fiberglass.I don't hear any of the noises that other people have mentioned except perhaps when new ice drops into the receptacle, but how often does that happen in a day?The refrigerator compartment is average in terms of capacity and has gallon-sized shelves, which is a huge plus. Oddly, there is no tray for eggs, so the crate has to be placed on one of the glass shelves. I can't remember a refrigerator I've ever had that didn't have a place for eggs on the door, but oh well. The freezer compartment is probably a little smaller than models in the same class that feature the freezer on top of the refrigerator. This is because in order to make the freezer more functional, pullout trays were installed. This reduces the space somewhat, but saves you from having to crouch down in front of the freezer to reach something in the back. I don't use my freezer for much more than ice and vodka, so it's no biggie for me but if you're a freezer power user this may affect you.I can??t tell you how happy I am to finally own a bottom freezer refrigerator; or more importantly, a top refrigerator refrigerator. If you??re 6?? tall or taller, it??s a real back saver.

I came home from a 2 week trip to discover that the unit had leaked a puddle onto my floor, thus ruining one of the seams in the floor. I noticed that the bottom of the freezer was covered in ice so I defrosted the unit, hoping that would solve the problem but the ice is very rapidly building up again. Something in the unit is leaking water into the freezer compartment and eventually out onto the floor. There is no drip tray you can dump or anything like that. No user serviceable parts. Fixing the problem requires an $80-$100 service call to whirlpool plus the cost of parts. This on top of my ruined floor. Suffice to say that I'm extremely displeased, nor am I'm too happy about the fact that my previous "negative" review of this product was rejected by whirlpool.

good smallish fridge
from Cleveland, oh
Purchased about a month ago. Love the drawer layout on the bottom freezer, also love the way the door pockets are deep, leaving more of the stuff inside visible. Good range of adjustments on all shelves. Really like it.

I purchased the Whirlpool Gold bottom mount refrigerator and I couldn't be more pleased with the appliance so far. The adjustable tempered glass shelves are wonderful for customizing your food storage needs. I love having the freezer on the bottom, when you open the refrigerator door there is no leaning over to see what is in the refrigerator.
Love the top refrigerator!

Love the eye level of the shelves! No more having to lower to the ground to see vegetables and fruits. My honey is 6'6"! And he can now help me cook. Love it!

19 cu. ft.Whirlpool Refrigerator

Recently purchased this refrigerator and am so pleased. It is so quiet and I rarely hear it running. My fresh vegetables such as lettuce and spinach lasts and lasts. It is so nice to have everything at eye level too. The freezer is great for all my ice cream snacks for the grandkids and right at their level to reach. I am a retired grandma so keeping things on hands for my family is important to me. I am impressed with how things keep and have saved money already. Thanks Whirpool!

Our Whirlpool came with our new 40' 5th wheel DRV. I absolutely love it & would recommend it. I love the ice maker in the bottom freezer & how the freezer has two pull outs. Easy clean brushed stainless steel doors. Thanks for a great product.

Just what we needed

Clean lines on the outside. Adjustable glass shelving is well thought out. Purchased this in February 2013. Only problem was with the duck bill grommet on the drain line had to be replaced with a p-trap, minor design flaw.
