I got this to replace a Panasonic DVD recorder, and it was much simpler to set up and is easier to operate, especially the record and finalize functions.

The only negative I have, so far, is that it makes an audible clicking noise when playing music CDs, though not on DVDs. I thought this was a defect, but was assured by techs that it is normal, even though it shouldn't be and is not common on any of the DVD or CD players I've owned. Annoying, but not so much that I would return the unit. I hope at some point Toshiba offers a firmware update to correct it.

I ordered a toshiba products all the time. My last purchased was a Toshiba DVD Player/Recorder from Abt, because it was easy to place an order with their web page. They have a great selection to choose from, the prices were lower then they were in a retail store in my town. I buy Toshiba products because they perform great, simple picture instructions, quality product last long.
