Comments about Frigidaire 8,000 BTU White Casement Air Conditioner:

This is a great window-unit AC. Cools the entire room, has an energy-saver setting and is Energy-Star rated. Relatively quiet (although, of course, you can still hear that it's on). I have no complaints, and can now sleep comfortably on those really hot nights. I had the ABT guys install it, and they did a very good job--used their own Plexiglas panel over the AC to allow light into the room, instead of blocking off the rest of the window with plywood. Be aware that, with a casement window, they have to remove the window to get the AC in, so it's a permanent installation--it stays in your window all year round.
