I am thrilled to find a dryer that doesn't need an outdoor vent, and dehumidifies as it dries. No more moldy walls or wet air. The water from your wet clothes pumps down your drain or into an easily dumped container. Although it takes a little longer than a regular dryer, the clothes get just as dry. This is compact - you cannot dry king size blankets (sheets are OK). But it fits a fairly normal sized load of clothes.

Purchased this dryer less than 2 months ago and it stopped working. I can still say I would recommend this product, because appliances do break. Time will be the determinate as to how well it will perform. I will say that the response from LG was quick and professional and that we will have a techniciian/repair person within 24 hours look at the dryer. We will see how that works out.

I got the stackable washer and dryer, after a long research and many doubts regarding a ventless dryer. I will start with the bottom line - IT DOES THE JOB - The clothes are dry at the end of the cycle. It may take longer than you are used to, but usually in about 1:30 hours for a full load, everything is dry. It does produce some heat, but that's what dryer do. I still have a problem that wasn't resolved, and it is that the dryer is leaking a few drops each cycle from the condenser area to the washing machine. I hope that this will resolve soon and then I can change the review to a 5 stars one.

Bought this a month ago after extensive online research. I decided to go with this little thing because it was ventless, compact and the reviews seemed good. I gotta tell you for a ventless dryer this is the best thing you can find! Clothes are never even remotely wet when i take them out since it has a dryness sensor inside and the air in my apartment stays dry AND cold, since it has a condenser! If you have to buy a ventless, and you don't want to manually empty a bucket of water every single load - perfect choice!

How I use it: Installed in New York City apartment without a vent. Having a washer and dryer in the apartment is a luxury. Works great and have had no problems (since Oct 2012). I would definitely recommend this unit to people who need a vent-less solution. However please note that the unit does exhaust heat out from the front. Have only used it during the Fall and Winter time so its been good. Its very quiet and does dry clothes very well. Issues & Recommendations: 1) The top left drawer, there is a plastic container that collects all the water from the wet clothes. Would have been great if the unit could be connected directly to the drain so that you don't have to empty the plastic container every time I use it (probably can do about 2 cycles before over-flowing) 2) After the clothes are dried, they sometimes smell like unscented candle wax that has solidify after it melted. Not sure why, but its a manageable smell.

Within the first two weeks I started to hear a scraping noise when the drum moved around. LG was great at helping me set up a service appointment. The belt was starting to fray and the pieces were scraping. It took another 4 days to order a belt and replace it, but the dryer was operable during that time. Overall I like the dryer and hope that it will provide me with trouble-free service for years to come.

For such a compact dryer, it holds a lot of laundry. It dries well, but I'm not sure I like the ventless feature. The air vent on the bottom of the dryer discharges a lot of heat into the room. Overall, I am very satisfied with the dryer.

This is a wonderful appliance for small utility rooms or where a vent cannot be used or too expensive to install. It's a bit smaller and takes a bit longer to dry things - but only a small inconvenience where space in an older house and an older floor plan was concerned. We've had it now for two months and love it!

VENTLESS! It is so much fun - Who Knew? I could stay home and dry my clothes all day long. IT IS AMAZING how much water comes out of just one load of laundry - where did all that water used to go? I guess it just sat in the long ceiling vent. Now I get so excited to empty the water container just to see. so many settings - and everything is wrinkle free. Who could ask for more!!!

After owning this about a month and using it maybe six times, I received a "TER" error code and the dryer refused to work. I called LG service and they told me that the unit had a bad thermostat. After two weeks they came and replaced it. The service technician told me that this happend "all the time" and that I should be sure to get the extended warranty to cover future incidents. I really regret buying this machine--don't make the same mistake.
