I exchanged a highly rated machine which took forever to wash clothes and *they didn't smell clean! This machine is fast, easy to use and clothes are truly April Fresh! The spin is amazing...clothes are just damp when cycle is done. The machine "remembers" the setting so you aren't starting over every time. I just love this washer. I highly recommend it.

I've had this washer for over a year now and I can't say I love it, but I have gotten better at using it and so it will work for now. My biggest gripe with this machine is the lack of water it uses. The water level is very low on most cycles and just plain not enough on others. The concept was designed with efficiency in mind, but if I have to run some loads twice to make sure the clothes get clean that is not efficient at all. My household is a messy one (2 boys and 1 plumber) so I need my clothes to be CLEAN. This washer barely puts out enough water to reach the bottom of the door so I'm not always confidant my clothes have been thoroughly washed. Stains are also a big problem because there is usually not enough water in the drum to get them out so my whites are dingier and I have to hand wash badly stained items. Overall, this washer performs as designed, but it does not work for me. Also, the loads are very long ones which nullify my water savings.

Comments about Whirlpool Duet WFW94HEXW White Front Load Washer:
My old washer was a Kenmore and I was relunctant to purchase anything else. Due to delivery availability I had to purchase another brand...I chose Whirlpool and went the next size up. It is wonderful. Had heard both pros and cons about front loaders, but I love this washer

We replaced a ten year old Maytag Neptune that was making a racket in every cycle. This machine is much quieter. It has many more cycles and features that we haven't used yet. It was easy to install and cleans clothes quite well. My only complaint is that its door is not reversible; I had to buy 60" hoses to swap positions with the Neptune dryer (that has a reversible door). The included drain hose was long enough to reach without an extension.

I bought this in February and the only issue is with Tide pods - they do not dissolve unless I use hot water.

It not only does a great job cleaning but almost dries clothes, it spins so fast
Great size and efficiency!

We purchased a new Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer a little over a month ago and we love them! The size of these machines are perfect for our family of 5. We have been able to cut down on the number of loads per week we have to do because this set can hold a large amount of laundry in one load. This is saving us time, water, and electricity.

Washing Machine is a dream compared to the old one. The old washer had a higher spin speed (1800 rpm) compared to the Whirlpool 1400 but it is so much more quiet, vibration free, and works just as well as the higher speed washer. It is important to keep washers comparable when not buying a set. The gas dryer seems happy with the moisture level of the cloths coming out of the washer and the speed of drying has not changed. I hope Whirlpool keeps its parts onhand longer than its predecessor.
Very happy with purchase
Purchased this washer & matching dryer 3 months ago & am very pleased with both. Water use seems to have decreased from my old washer.
Like the different options!

I have used it for about a month and still figuring out a few of the options that are available on this washer. I really like it letting me know when to use the clean cycle.
QUALITY AT A FAIR PRICE

My daughter owns a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer. When my washing machine died, she recommended that I consider buying one as-well. I did considerable research, including Consumer Reports, and concluded that the Duet would be a smart purchase. The salesman at the store that I bought the washer from, sells many brands of washers. Without telling him I was interested in the Duet, he gave it his highest recommendation and reported that he has never had a customer who was dissatisfied with the Duet. Now that I have used it for a month or so, I am even more impressed. It is easy to use, relatively quiet and clothes come out VERY clean. When my older dryer dies, I will certainly buy the matching Duet dryer. I am a very satisfied customer.
