I previously purchased after market EN-EL 14 backup batteries for our Nikon D3100 but they would not work. I bought a Nikon EN-EL 14 from ABT and it runs just like the original that came with the camera. Lesson learned the hard way, buy Nikon for Nikon.

I have purchased batteries from many places. I have had poor results with batteries that are "replacements for" . The replacements, although the manufacturers claim a higher ampere hour rating, don't last as long or have the life of the OEM...
