I used this product to replace wireless communication between my viewing room and the computer room upstairs for the Home Theater. What a surprise! This product works so well, and was so easy to set up I had it running in 3 minutes without a hitch. It could not be easier. I can easily stream HD content Running at 20Mbps with room to spare. I will definitely buy more of these modules for around the house to expand my network. Monster, you did it right!

Comments about Monster Digital Life PowerNet 200 With Clean Power Starter Pack:
Whoever said these are easy to set up lied. I have worked in the tech field for over 20 years and having got these from [@] on a special offer I decided to replace my aging Netgear XAV101 setup. First whoever decided to position the reset and security buttons on the bottom needs to go back to design school, a side position would have been easier when most power outlets used for these devices are floor level. Secondly, with Netgear I can instantly run a diagnostic on my PC and even change security settings without having to go to each box in the house. I finally got mine up and running but I am also going to be replacing them soon with 500MBs boxes. These were just short term and I will probably use Cisco or Netgear again in future. Highly disappointed especially with the quality usually associated with Monster brand.

I dont understand the good reviews. This product is far from plug and play. Takes to much time and does not work as advertised at all.

This product is so easy to set up and had the added benefit of being a secured-wired system instead of using wireless. I have many power surges at my house and as a result, have double protection with this device. It is truely plug and play. I highly recommend the product for TV, music streaming from your PC and video streaming.

About Me Practical
I tried a range extender and it didn't reach in my house and was too slow. I plugged this baby in and I got speeds as fast as at the source. Fast and easy like it should be. The only con is that it doesn't hook up to devices without ethernet capability. I had to hook up a router - but it is faster than my original at the source. Now I have two wireless networks and am completely plugged in -wired and wireless.

Not Really Wireless
from Jacksonville, NC
Interesting product but it's not 'wireless' and does not function like a wireless network. Devices, even wireless devices, have to be pluged into the wall unit with an ethernet cable. Which means you have ethernet cables snakeing all over the place - which kinda defeats the purpose. It also means if your wireless device does not have an ethernet port - you won't be able to use that device with this system. Further, if you have a lot of devices spread through your home you could need a lot of wall units and at over a $100 a pop, cost may become an issue. If wireless devices like the PS3 could connect to the wall unit without an ethernet cable this product would be outstanding! As is, this product is really only useful as a glorified range extender for the most extreme of conditions.

I drilled holes through my old growth figured maple hardwood floors to run ethernet. THEN my father in law gave me a starter pack of these. I plugged them in and they work great. Then I put a cork in the hole in the floor "DOH".
