My 12 year old machine functioned well but broke small dial part - $250 to replace. Bought this HE machine and hate it. Clothes do not come out clean, soak cycle is a joke. A waste of money. KUDUs to ABT for replacing

Do not like water sensor, does not allow enough water to wash clothes properly. Clothes are so wrinkled no matter what settings I use. So very unhappy with this machine.

I have had Whirlpool washers before but this one is no good at all. Had it for almost 2 months and it broke already. Can't believe it haven't even pay for it and it needs repairs already.

My last machine (Kenmore) lasted since 1960 (you do the math)... and worked great until last month (August 2011) RIP! This new one is a nightmare! The sensors are completely inconsistent. My clothes smell like 'moldy and/or wet dog' after the cycle is completed. When I pull clothes out of the dryer, instead of smelling nice and fresh, they smell like I pulled them out of the hamper. Sometimes there is practically no water being used and sometimes there is so much water used that I feel guilty. My last load was so wet I had to put it in DRAIN cycle manually. It doesn't recognize the difference between bulky or regular wash. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL.

This washer worked for 11 loads, then wouldn't work again. When it did operate, it was harsh with the clothes, leaving much fraying.

In addition, the cyle lasted an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half. I could wash all my laundry for a week by hand in less time than this took for 1 load.

I've already replaced this with a GE low-tech model. I would rather use a little more energy than have a service truck burn more gas every few weeks.

We have used Whirlpool products for years and been very pleased. We bought this washer five months ago when we needed a new one and are terribly disappointed. How can a company put out a product like this? Our biggest complaint is that it just doesn't clean well. In addition the sensors are ineffective. I've actually pulled out a washcloth that hadn't even got wet. It takes forever to wash a load as you have to wait for it to go through all its "sensing" stages. They built a machine that was just too smart for its own good!

This is by far the worst washing machine I've used. The clothes actually come out looking less bright and some don't look any cleaner than when I've put them in the wash. Also, I don't find it to be quiet at all. It's on the 2nd floor in our home, and it sometimes makes the light fixture on the first floor shake. This occurs during regular loads of laundry, not huge loads of towels. We've only had it a few months and are already looking for a new one. I really regret purchasing this machine.
