I am very happy with my new 5 burner double oven gas range. I waited a long time to purchase a double oven range and did a lot of research before choosing. The KitchenAid had the most features for the price. Since receiving my range, I've only found a few things I don't like. One is the design of the knobs. The panel where the knobs attach is angled. While it looks nice, it reduces the surface area of the stovetop. You can get 4 pots on there, but they had better not be large ones. I also had to purchase a new 2-burner grill pan because mine would not fit on the top of the range. The burners are bit too easy to turn on. If I lean over the range (not while it's on, of course) to get a pot from the cabinet above, I bump at least one of the knobs and a message begins rolling across the panel telling me to check to see if the burners are off. One other thing that might not apply to anyone else - I live in an area where the power goes out frequently. My previous gas range burners would still operate when lit with a match. Not so with the KitchenAid. No power, no gas. Those issues aside, the range works beautifully and looks just as good. The ovens bake evenly and having 2 ovens is a dream. I will never own a single oven again. The controls are easy to operate and the glass display is easy to clean. Overall, the whole unit is easy to clean for a gas range. I ordered it in white to match my other appliances. I imagine the stainless would be more difficult to clean. The extending rack in the lower oven really makes removing heavy pots easier. I worried it would be difficult as the lower oven really is quite low to the floor. I find that I use the upper oven most often since I'm usually cooking for one. But the lower oven bakes two large trays of cookies evenly with the convection turned on. I don't miss the storage drawer as much as I thought I would, and it was worth losing the drawer to gain another oven. All in all, there are a few small things I would change, but I wouldn't give up my KitchenAid range for anything. Would recommend.

I think the double oven feature is great. I love the Cobalt Blue interior. But not worth giving up 8 inches of cooking space on top.I have had nothing but problems with this range for these 4 months I have owned it. The first range that was delivered had a faulty lower over door, that didn't seal properly. That range was replaced, and now I have come to discover the hard way that the upper oven in my new range is off by 50 deg. Not good when you are trying to bake that perfect cake – Ok that can be fixed, but what really makes me unhappy with this range is that the cook top space is tiny and the proportion is HORRIBLE. The design of this range has the knobs on an angle that consume about 6 inches of cook top space, plus the grills also start on an angle, removing about another 2 inches, so the depth of your cook top area is reduced by about 8 inches. It is hard to have two pans going at the same time on the same side, one they don't fit, and if they do, one will be close to tipping over because the grills end on an angle. If I am able to miraculously find two pans that will fit on the same side they are not centrally placed over the flame, because the design of the angled grates don't allow that. It is hard to just get on pan placed centrally over the flame without your pan tipping over and possibly causing a bad accident. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN.I am a busy mother of two, I don't spend all day in the kitchen, but when I do I want to have enough space to cook my pasta, my chicken breast, and sauce at the same time, but I can't, pans don't fit properly.I am so disappointed, I was much happier with my old GE.

Love the double oven!
from Center, TX
I purchased this range one month ago and am very happy. The lower oven seems to cook hotter than the upper oven. Knowing this, I simply have adjusted the temperature accordingly and all is well.

We bought all new KitchenAid appliances. l like the stove but: the handles get hot when the oven is on. We feel that the oven does not reach the temperature set but low by 25-30 degrees.

I have absolutely loved this range! It has been better than I thought I could get for this price point. The oven is AMAZING!!! I have cooked incrediable tender and flavorful roasts, chicken, steak, seafood and cakes! The heat is even and right on point. The stove top cleans up easily and I love the perfect heat on and off! I would purchase this product again! Highly recommend it!
5-Burner Gas Freestanding Double Oven Range by KitchenAid.

I purchased the same double oven range at Best Buy in March of 2015, Marina, CA. Sold my homethere and since I loved the KitchenAid stove sovery much, I had to have another one in my newhome in Reno.
Excellent range for our remodel
from Seattle, WA
Just remodeled our kitchen and updated to this range. Previous one was electric. We wanted gas, more capacity on top and inside the oven. We got all of that with this Architect Series II. The 5 burners are great and the cast iron top makes it look like a professional cooking surface. The Griddle plate is awesome as well, goes right on the grates and works like a dream. The oven space is huge with 3 racks. We have flexibility to cook multiple items and not worry about uneven cooking heat. The True Convection takes care of cooking everything evenly. One caveat, the bottom drawer is not very big. We used to store our pots and pans in the old one and in the Architect Series II we use it for our cookie sheets.

We have child protective knob covers on it.

Range was installed a few weeks ago and have already used all the features. It's great to cook at two temperatures. Water boils is half the time using the power burner. Cooked brats in the griddle and browned just like the grill. Would recommend to anyone who loves to cook.

Purchased a few weeks ago and so far so good. The larger oven door glass makes it so easy to see inside. It takes a little getting used to the convection feature, but overall we love it.
very sharp looking! We have really enjoyed the two ovens.

Really nice oven
from Chardon, Ohio
I wanted a good oven with convection and this oven offered that along with some other quality features. The bread proof setting works really well and the big burner in front get's water up to temperature quickly.
