I am very happy with my new 5 burner double oven gas range. I waited a long time to purchase a double oven range and did a lot of research before choosing. The KitchenAid had the most features for the price. Since receiving my range, I've only found a few things I don't like. One is the design of the knobs. The panel where the knobs attach is angled. While it looks nice, it reduces the surface area of the stovetop. You can get 4 pots on there, but they had better not be large ones. I also had to purchase a new 2-burner grill pan because mine would not fit on the top of the range. The burners are bit too easy to turn on. If I lean over the range (not while it's on, of course) to get a pot from the cabinet above, I bump at least one of the knobs and a message begins rolling across the panel telling me to check to see if the burners are off. One other thing that might not apply to anyone else - I live in an area where the power goes out frequently. My previous gas range burners would still operate when lit with a match. Not so with the KitchenAid. No power, no gas. Those issues aside, the range works beautifully and looks just as good. The ovens bake evenly and having 2 ovens is a dream. I will never own a single oven again. The controls are easy to operate and the glass display is easy to clean. Overall, the whole unit is easy to clean for a gas range. I ordered it in white to match my other appliances. I imagine the stainless would be more difficult to clean. The extending rack in the lower oven really makes removing heavy pots easier. I worried it would be difficult as the lower oven really is quite low to the floor. I find that I use the upper oven most often since I'm usually cooking for one. But the lower oven bakes two large trays of cookies evenly with the convection turned on. I don't miss the storage drawer as much as I thought I would, and it was worth losing the drawer to gain another oven. All in all, there are a few small things I would change, but I wouldn't give up my KitchenAid range for anything. Would recommend.

I think the double oven feature is great. I love the Cobalt Blue interior. But not worth giving up 8 inches of cooking space on top.I have had nothing but problems with this range for these 4 months I have owned it. The first range that was delivered had a faulty lower over door, that didn't seal properly. That range was replaced, and now I have come to discover the hard way that the upper oven in my new range is off by 50 deg. Not good when you are trying to bake that perfect cake – Ok that can be fixed, but what really makes me unhappy with this range is that the cook top space is tiny and the proportion is HORRIBLE. The design of this range has the knobs on an angle that consume about 6 inches of cook top space, plus the grills also start on an angle, removing about another 2 inches, so the depth of your cook top area is reduced by about 8 inches. It is hard to have two pans going at the same time on the same side, one they don't fit, and if they do, one will be close to tipping over because the grills end on an angle. If I am able to miraculously find two pans that will fit on the same side they are not centrally placed over the flame, because the design of the angled grates don't allow that. It is hard to just get on pan placed centrally over the flame without your pan tipping over and possibly causing a bad accident. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN.I am a busy mother of two, I don't spend all day in the kitchen, but when I do I want to have enough space to cook my pasta, my chicken breast, and sauce at the same time, but I can't, pans don't fit properly.I am so disappointed, I was much happier with my old GE.

I love my new stove, it has proved to be an asset to me when doing my baking. The ease of cleaning is amazing. I just use Clorox wipes with degreaser and it comes out looking brand new. I love it

We've only had our KitchenAid oven for a month, but already it is making our lives easier and more delicious. Being able to Bake in one oven and broil in the other is a tremendous time saver. Since my wife does most of the cooking, so she saves most of the time. Some of the time she saves, she spends on me! Foods are cooked perfectly and the cooktop is easy to set exactly to the heat output you want. It appears to be a quality product that should last and provide excellent service for many years to come. Time will tell. As I said, it's only been a month but it has been a pleasure to use and it looks great too.

This stove would look great in any kitchen. It has a very sleek style and I l-o-v-e the huge window in the door! We just bought it a month ago and so far I have enjoyed using it. In my mind, it makes me feel more chef-like and makes me want to cook! Ha ha!
Kitchen Aide vs GE
from Nashville, TN, United States
This is our second stove purchase in one year and we are so glad we switched from GE to Kitchen Aide. We purchased a 5-gas burner GE stove and we had great difficulties lighting the burners. We had the repairman out 2 times and each time he would say that GE had upgraded the lighting mechanism but it would never help. It was such a relief to get our kitchen aide and have the burners light on the first attempt. I also think the Kitchen Aide has a more sleek design. Certainly the oven door has a larger window and the racks are better in quality. If you are deciding between a GE and Kitchen Aide get the Kitchen Aide. The burners also seem to be hotter.
BEST GRILL EVER!!!

We LOVE toasted cheese sandwiches and with the middle oblong grill, we now are able to cook them to perfection !! The double oven is an amazing addition... It sure takes the juggle of completing a meal with rolls or biscuits out of the equation for a perfect timing to being able to sit down and eat! Thank You Kitchenaid!
