While I can understand that the other one star review was based on a faulty unit, we have been nothing but extremely happy with our stove. We love it so much, we wanted to take it to our new home but was unable to - and are now going to buy another one. It's well made, solid, and looks great. It's also very intuitive and easy to use. What we like most about it, besides the look is that it's a great unit to use for everyday use as well as entertaining. We typically use the small oven for our day to day uses since it's smaller and more efficient and then use the bigger unit when entertaining - turkey in the bigger oven and rolls and potatoes in the smaller oven. Cobalt blue interior of the oven does look sweet.Lots of options on the cook top and the one burner brings water to a boil quickly as stated. While I agree is doesn't have as much room on the cook top as other units, it's really not an issue to us.Overall, I like the looks, build and functionality of this unit for the size and price. Would recommend.

I think the double oven feature is great. I love the Cobalt Blue interior. But not worth giving up 8 inches of cooking space on top.I have had nothing but problems with this range for these 4 months I have owned it. The first range that was delivered had a faulty lower over door, that didn't seal properly. That range was replaced, and now I have come to discover the hard way that the upper oven in my new range is off by 50 deg. Not good when you are trying to bake that perfect cake – Ok that can be fixed, but what really makes me unhappy with this range is that the cook top space is tiny and the proportion is HORRIBLE. The design of this range has the knobs on an angle that consume about 6 inches of cook top space, plus the grills also start on an angle, removing about another 2 inches, so the depth of your cook top area is reduced by about 8 inches. It is hard to have two pans going at the same time on the same side, one they don't fit, and if they do, one will be close to tipping over because the grills end on an angle. If I am able to miraculously find two pans that will fit on the same side they are not centrally placed over the flame, because the design of the angled grates don't allow that. It is hard to just get on pan placed centrally over the flame without your pan tipping over and possibly causing a bad accident. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN.I am a busy mother of two, I don't spend all day in the kitchen, but when I do I want to have enough space to cook my pasta, my chicken breast, and sauce at the same time, but I can't, pans don't fit properly.I am so disappointed, I was much happier with my old GE.

like the range but took 6 weeks to get up and running

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Stainless Steel Gas Oven:
I bought the range on October 28th. and finally got up and running on December 5th. It had a defective gas valve that was in back order so finally the store we purchased it from took a new valve out of a range they had in their warehouse. Up and running now and we do like the range.

I bought this range a couple months ago and love having the double ovens. We use the small top oven a lot. It preheats very quickly and I'm not wasting so much energy heating a big oven for just one item. Thanksgiving dinner was much easier, too. The turkey went in the bottom, and the sides in the top. My one complaint is that I spilled some soup down the front, it ran between the glass panels on the oven door. It was quite an ordeal to remove the door, clean up, then reinstall the door.
I love this range
I've converted from electric range to gas and I LOVE the change. I can cook with convection as well which is wonderful. I love Kitchenaid appliances.

We've had our new range about a month. Used it for Thanksgiving dinner for 30 guests. Double oven was very handy.

Have owned this range about 1 month. Baked a 12 lb, bone-in, 1/2 ham using convection feature of lower oven. The time savings was wonderful and the ham came out moist & flavorful. Using the regular baking feature in the upper & lower ovens works well too. Having the smaller oven as an option to bake smaller items is a great feature. Sometimes the range top burners are slow to ignite & I have to turn them off and try again, I plan to call Kitchenaid to see if this is normal. I have the all stainless steel model & was surprised how much it changed the look of our 15 year old kitchen. It looks very upscale now (already owned a SS frig and over the range microwave).

The oven has been great. Quick heat up times and the split feature has been perfect.

Our current stove wa snot that old and still working fine, but when we saw this at our local appliance store, we had to have. It is really a great looking stove. The electronics are amazing. Programming baking time, temp, timers are so easy and performance is excellant. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Two ovens cook at different temps-at the same time!

I love this oven! I cooked 6 things at 2 temps all at the same time! Top is easy to clean but shows water marks if you don't polish it after wiping. Love the smaller top oven for doing small meals. Lower oven held a 12 pound turkey with room to spare!

I have always cooked with electricity, but recently saw the Kitchenaid 5-burner gas double oven range and fell in love. It is everything I was looking for; one small oven for most days, an additional full-sized oven for when the whole family is here, and the responsiveness of gas power.
