I am very happy with my new 5 burner double oven gas range. I waited a long time to purchase a double oven range and did a lot of research before choosing. The KitchenAid had the most features for the price. Since receiving my range, I've only found a few things I don't like. One is the design of the knobs. The panel where the knobs attach is angled. While it looks nice, it reduces the surface area of the stovetop. You can get 4 pots on there, but they had better not be large ones. I also had to purchase a new 2-burner grill pan because mine would not fit on the top of the range. The burners are bit too easy to turn on. If I lean over the range (not while it's on, of course) to get a pot from the cabinet above, I bump at least one of the knobs and a message begins rolling across the panel telling me to check to see if the burners are off. One other thing that might not apply to anyone else - I live in an area where the power goes out frequently. My previous gas range burners would still operate when lit with a match. Not so with the KitchenAid. No power, no gas. Those issues aside, the range works beautifully and looks just as good. The ovens bake evenly and having 2 ovens is a dream. I will never own a single oven again. The controls are easy to operate and the glass display is easy to clean. Overall, the whole unit is easy to clean for a gas range. I ordered it in white to match my other appliances. I imagine the stainless would be more difficult to clean. The extending rack in the lower oven really makes removing heavy pots easier. I worried it would be difficult as the lower oven really is quite low to the floor. I find that I use the upper oven most often since I'm usually cooking for one. But the lower oven bakes two large trays of cookies evenly with the convection turned on. I don't miss the storage drawer as much as I thought I would, and it was worth losing the drawer to gain another oven. All in all, there are a few small things I would change, but I wouldn't give up my KitchenAid range for anything. Would recommend.

I think the double oven feature is great. I love the Cobalt Blue interior. But not worth giving up 8 inches of cooking space on top.I have had nothing but problems with this range for these 4 months I have owned it. The first range that was delivered had a faulty lower over door, that didn't seal properly. That range was replaced, and now I have come to discover the hard way that the upper oven in my new range is off by 50 deg. Not good when you are trying to bake that perfect cake – Ok that can be fixed, but what really makes me unhappy with this range is that the cook top space is tiny and the proportion is HORRIBLE. The design of this range has the knobs on an angle that consume about 6 inches of cook top space, plus the grills also start on an angle, removing about another 2 inches, so the depth of your cook top area is reduced by about 8 inches. It is hard to have two pans going at the same time on the same side, one they don't fit, and if they do, one will be close to tipping over because the grills end on an angle. If I am able to miraculously find two pans that will fit on the same side they are not centrally placed over the flame, because the design of the angled grates don't allow that. It is hard to just get on pan placed centrally over the flame without your pan tipping over and possibly causing a bad accident. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN.I am a busy mother of two, I don't spend all day in the kitchen, but when I do I want to have enough space to cook my pasta, my chicken breast, and sauce at the same time, but I can't, pans don't fit properly.I am so disappointed, I was much happier with my old GE.

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Stainless Steel Gas Oven:
So fare we love our Range. the only problem I have found is damage during delivery. we had to decline our first delivery do to damage on the right front and lower corner. i thought it was dropped on it's corner. but our 2nd delivery it got the same damage in same area after the straps were used to bring in to home. only damage was not as severe this time. sheet metal cabinet is little on the light side. but that how this product is sold at a reasonable price.

Love the Griddle!

My husband & I don't cook often except for the weekends. We especially enjoy the griddle in the middle of the stove top. It's perfect for bacon & Pancakes. Also, the double ovens solve the holiday problems of foods needing to be ready at the same time but requiring different bakeing temps.

Though we've had this range for a short time, a month, and have't used all the features, we are most pleased with it. Cooking on the stovetop iseems much easier and faster. It's simple to find just the right burner, just the right heat. The small, upper oven is pure genius. I actually prepared enchiladas on a 105 degree day. and it did not heat up mu kitchen. In short, had I any clue just how much of a difference it would make, I'd have bought it a long time ago.
Nice features but needs some work
The lowest temp setting is to high to simmer. Its impossiable to simmer spaghetti sauce without burning. The middle burner for the griddle is a nice concept except the flame is too low to cook with. the flame only has one setting and that's to simmer.I have tried everything the book say's to do and have not had any luck.I think it would also have been nice if the knobs were located away from the burners. You have to take the knobs off in order to clean any spatter off.

We purchased this range to replace a 10yr old gas range, almost a month ago. This range does not disappoint! One reviewer noted the position of the gas connection, and yes, we had to have our gas line moved, too. We knew this when we purchased it, so it was not an issue. Just download the manual and check your gas connections. It was worth the effort to move the line, in our opinion. The double oven is great! Both bake evenly, and the heating temperatures are accurate (I checked with a calibrated thermometer). We found we use the top oven more for our smaller meals for two, but have enjoyed the lower oven for preparing big family dinners. The convection feature is nice, and I love that I have the option to use it or not, depending on my cooking needs. And in case you are wondering (like I did), no, you cannot hear the convection fan, when in use. Very quiet. The gas burners are quick to light and provide a controlled flame. The cast iron grates and stainless steel are easy to clean. The blue interior is very pretty, and also easy to keep clean. I love to cook, and this range makes the process so much easier. The warming feature keeps dishes at temp while guests arrive, the rollers on the oven rack are very nice, and the griddle is great for making sandwiches, warming tortillas (have not tried pancakes on it, and would not consider using it to cook bacon...but that's just me).We did our homework and researched many models and brands, and the KitchenAid was the right choice for us. If you are considering this model, keep these two things in mind:-Gas connection position (you may need to move line)-The lower oven lower rack can be low to the ground and difficult to load and remove dishes--but manageable when positioned in the middleVery happy with our purchase!
My first gas stove
from Port Hope, Ontario, Canada
This is my first gas stove experience, so I am still getting used to cooking with an open flame. Things to think about are that your pots will get very hot and you always need to be aware the top is always hot. I left ladles in pots and have burnt my hands touching them as they also become heat conductors if left in the pot.
Very happy with my new range

I have only had this a few days but I am very satisfied with my decision. I did a lot of research before my purchase and even after and for the features I got and the price I paid, and I am even more convinced of what a good deal I got.

Absolutely love this range. Cooks evenly and quickly
from Fayetteville, TN
WE are so thrilled with the appearance and ease of use with this product. Setting temperatures is a breeze and the resulting food quality is always perfect.5 Burners provide for extra capacity when needed. Controls are handy and provide assistance and safety. Although we purchased additional warrantywith this stove, it does not seem likeanything will go wrong. Thank you for making such a practical and beautiful appliance.

I had this range installed a little over a month ago as part of a full kitchen renovation. The double oven is fantastic, and both the ovens and the burners deliver consistent, even heat. Such an improvement over my old range!
