So far so good. I have wanted a home ice-cream machine for a decade but held off because of all the complaints about them - soft (or liquid) ice cream, too noisy, break-downs, etc.. The price on this was just too good and my love for ice cream too strong to resist. I have made both chocolate and vanilla so far. The ice cream is soft, it's true, but it does harden up with additional freezing. I am using almond milk instead of dairy milk, so can't speak to texture if one is using whole cream or milk, but I do find the texture to be a bit "glassy" when the product is set in the freezer. That doesn't bother me so much - and it does mean the ice cream is *extra* cold. The product works very quickly but make sure everything is chilled per the instructions to ensure best outcome. Works better than expected and I love the ability to make my own custom recipes to make them lower fat and lower sugar than store-bought ice cream. The recipe book also has one of the best chocolate sauce recipes out there (I do use real cream when making that)! I've tried several and this one is hands down the best in terms of taste and texture.

Works great. If you are really impatient, waiting for the bowl to freeze could be annoying, but delaying gratification builds character! Not quiet, but not overly loud. works well, decent price.

A little small -- makes about 1.4 quarts at a time, but normally this is not an issue, and its not meant to make more.

It can be a little annoying and messy getting the ice cream off the stirring thing... but again, not a big deal.

The only color available was red. I would have preferred other choices.

Makes relativley soft ice cream, but the bowl can be put in the freezer after making, if you want it harder. We got a second bowl to make more for larger groups. Much easier to use than the old style ice cream makers that used salt.

I keep freezer bowl in freezer, then so easy to make and freeze . Fresh fruit is wonderful to use. My family friends just love the ice cream 'sorbet. Gelato!I love it too!
