I was a little disappointed when I opened the box to this Frigidaire trim kit and discovered it was made from plastic, as opposed to metal like my previous one. We have only had the unit installed for about three weeks, but I worry about how well it will stand up to the test of time - and it does tend to "cheapen" the appearance. Love the microwave, but not the (mandatory) trim kit.
