I got rid of a couple of 10,000 BTU window ACs a couple of years ago. They were massive and very heavy. I was reluctant to get these new units because I didn't think they would cool a large open space. I installed one in our kitchen and one in our living room. These two rooms are separated by a dining room and foyer as well as an open staircase and an upstairs that is not cooled. I didn't think they would effectively cool the entire first floor, but I was willing to try to get some relief. Well, they have worked very well. They are audible when the fan is operating at high speeds; however, this is *significantly* less audible than our GE models installed in our bedrooms. (I should switch them around!) The assembly was straight forward. All parts were present in both units. They are heavy, but are manageable by most. The remote control is a nice feature and works from 20 feet. One control can be used for both units if you have line of sight. It's been a hot couple of weeks in Chicago, and these have made it much more enjoyable inside. I definitely would buy these again.

Prompt delivery on the day Abt said they would be delivered. They arrived in completely intact boxes. I have not used customer service for this item, but I have used it for other items purchased at Abt, and the customer service is phenomenal.

I bought this A/C to cool a 700 sq. ft apt. It keeps the temperature at a comfortable level day and night. You can set it so it will kick on and off as needed to save money. Love it! Because I have it in a living room window, it does make hearing the TV a small challenge, but it's a small inconvenience considering it's a 10k BTU unit! It's still overall very quiet considering it's size.

Using to cool 900 sq ft unit and I feel that it works very good. I do have another unit as well in the den area if the unit.

This air conditioner has more features than I had in other brands. It brings air in from outside also. I love that it cools my large room down in minutes.

It is compact yet durable; more than gets the job done. Have had some difficulties with the manufacturer's warranty programs in the past, but am willing to give them another chance, with this particular unit
