We are completely pleased with this grill. Our last grill lasted more than 10 years and we thought that was pretty good even though it was not a Weber. We splurged and bought this grill and are incredibly pleased with it.

This grill is rock solid due to the way parts assemble together requiring a minimum amount of bolts. If you go for the cost you will not be disappointed. The yearly maintenance will be a snap.

Weber was on sale at Abt, though a rare event for Weber. Abt had the best price and offer delivery. Reviews were great everywhere for Weber and I am glad I didn't buy other cheap product. You pay little higher price, but you get great performance.

Weber doesn't give these grills away but it has quality materials, heavy duty construction and in a word is beautiful. Completely pictorial directions make differentiating between some fasteners slightly difficult (does it take that much space to specify grey vs. black washers?). In my opinion it's worth it to opt for stainless steel grates and flavor bars as I've had a Weber Genesis Silver C for 10+ years which I swapped the cast iron grates and epoxy coated flavor bars for (after they failed) and never thought about them again. Even the small dia. (7.5mm) grates are still heavy duty for retaining searing heat and smooth surface makes cleaning a breeze. Silver C grill cover I have fits Genesis EP-330 like sausage casing and reviews of the appropriate grill cover ding the flimsy construction, high price and low value so, must revisit that accessory choice at later date. More than a little miffed had to purchase new $90 rotisserie kit for only the skewer as perfectly good kit purchased for Silver C was approx. 1 ½" too short to work on EP-330. Greatly anticipate opportunity to employ yet unused side burner. Searing station is nice touch but use Weber charcoal grill whenever possible for steaks so, may never use it unless time prohibits. Overall am very pleased with grill and should get many years of service out of it.

Service and delivery comments:

My delivery was not exactly prompt. A smaller logistics company was used to ship grill taking 3 days to reach Raleigh-Durham from Chicago. Received nearly unintelligible message on 19SEP12 from "driver" without callback number (thank you caller ID). Called back evening of 19SEP12, morning and afternoon of 20SEP12 until finally reaching someone mid afternoon on 21SEP12. Was informed all trucks were spoken for until at least 25SEP12 but I was allowed to drive out to pick item up. I was left to my own devices to load the grill into my truck. If it weren't for owning a full size truck that was lower than the loading dock it would have made it extremely difficult to load the item. The customer service representative I dealt with was about as sweet a lady as they come but it's obvious the logistics company was woefully understaffed for both personnel and resources.
The grill arrived in mostly excellent condition. The only portion not in pristine condition was one side of the rear cabinet panel which was prominently scuffed (but not through the powder coated finish).

This is a great purchase! Weber stands strong as the greatest brand for consumer grills. Solid construction, easy to asemble, care for every little detail.
The special edition version is the way to go in my opinion.

Solid design and quality material. Amazed at the temperature control and speed of cooking this grill provides. I bought a cover for winter storage. My previous Weber grill lasted more than a dozen years. This one will last as many years if not more.

Delivery was prompt. Driver assisted placing the package on my deck which was a big help. Assembly was straight forward. Take your time, recommend a second pair of hands to help with the larger parts.

Extremely well made. This is my first Weber grill. It is replacing my old Brinkman which didn't survive the winter and I can only say "WOW!". The Brinkman seems to be made of papier-mache compared to the Weber. Cooks super fast, wonderful sear, easy to assemble and looks great too! Don't buy a different brand, this is the grill you want.
