Essentially the same as the 12+ year old 5 disc Sony CD changer it replaced. Remote is nicer, now has USB R/W - a great basic changer if you still listen to your CD library at home.

It is great to still have at least one CD player still on the martket. It seems with all the i-tunes i-pods manufacturers are eliminating the good old stand by equipment for the old folks.

Great replacement, that intergrated well with my old Pioneer system and at a reasonable cost. MP3 capability is a nice addition.

I bought this unit to replace a similar 20+ years old Sony 5-disc changer. What is there to say? It reads the music and conveys it to my amp and speakers. Reliably. I don't use the remote; didn't on the old one either, so can't review that aspect. It plays, it shuffles, it sets up w/o even needing to refer to the manual. It's a Sony. Synonymous with good sound products, in my long experience. Hopefully, this will last 20 years...but will CD's? (Some people in my house just don't get what an ipod is, let alone how to use one, so a CD multi-disc changer is a must-have!)

This changer replaced an old, similar product which was starting to misbehave (skipping, etc.). I have only used the CD capabilty so far but it was easy to set up and the remote control is VERY friendly. Also, the messages displayed on the main unit's front panel are helpful. Finally, the owner's manual is concise and well written.
