I think this system is overrated by Consumer Reports. Very cheaply made. The speaker wire is very small in diameter which has to affect sound quality. The speakers are also of cheap design. They have a mounting "hole" in the back of the speaker case, and do not interface with standard speaker mounting brackets. The wattage and MHz of this system are mediocre. The Samsung system was a replacement for an older Sony system with standard speaker mounts, but I had to leave the wall-mounted Sony speakers in place because the Samsung speakers would not interface with standard speaker mounts, so I don't know how well the Samsung speakers perform. Unlike the Sony, the Samsung speakers have a very cheap plastic case. The Samsung system is a functional low-end, consumer grade system that is appropriate for the [@] crowd. If I had it to do over, I would invest a few hundred $ more and get a really good Bose or Denon or Pioneer system.

This is a great sound system for the price. Worked flawlessly with my LED Samsung HDTV. Blueray plays awesome as well. I purchased the Samsung Transmitter and Receiver Module kit to go with it. This way I could set up the speakers in the back without having to run wires across the room. With this, the rear speakers are powered by an extra amp, so you get even better sound. Installations wasn't too complicated and the system looks really nice. The sound is clear and loud enough for the small room that I'm using it for, but I'm sure it would be plenty loud for a larger room.
