Let me start out by saying I own a Carina S4 model. What a great vacuum that is. My mother used it and loved it. She wanted one, but did not want to spend the money on one. as 2 years before I had bought her an Aerus Guardian as she had an original Electrolux since 1997 and it was beginning to show its age. Well I went looking. Miele was in my Williams-Sonoma catalog and I had never heard of them. They look awesome. Those colors, style, shape. Ooh La La. I had to see them. I went to the dealer closest to me and the moment you touch and see those vacuums the quality is there. WOW.
So I tried to tell her she would like it and she said no. She used my vacuum over the course of a year and loved it. So for Christmas 2010 I bought her a Delphi from ABT as she needed a powerbrush with her vacuum. For the money the vacuum is very nice. The plastic is cheaper than the S4 and S5 models, but other than that it is solid. If you were to lift both side by side you would not be able to tell which is which so I decided to give the S2 a shot for her. She loves it. Very light weight. Like 11 lbs maybe. She pulls it out more than that Aerus TANK. The vacuum motor is the same as the others so really the shell is the only difference and you do not get the sealed system around the bag. If you do not need a vacuum for allergies this one is great. If you do step up to the other series. Other than that very satisfied with it.

Service and delivery comments:

Ordered for Christmas gift and did not want the package to come if the original box was to be seen as it was a gift. The Miele box was in another box and packed very well between both boxes.
