I installed this AC in a Fifth wheel in hopes of using the roof AC less. I'm keeping the doors closed the the bathroom and fifth wheel area and using it in the living/dining area, and it is just barely keeping up in about 90 degree weather. I probably won't be able to use it on the hottest summer days. BTW, if you are considering using it for this type of application, the window vent kit will probably not work for you. I purchases a 5" diameter wall vent (also from HD) to vent it to the outside, which required cutting a hole in the side. Not difficult, but something to have in mind. The exhaust works fine. This AC would be fine in areas not quite as extreme as Texas in the summer.

I live in New Orleans where summer heat exceeds 97degrees F. My upstairs is always uncomfortably warm then. To accommodate my granddaughter who came to live with me, we installed this unit and have been delighted with its performance. It keeps her bedroom just the right temperature. Living in New Orleans also makes us prone to hurricanes. We just experienced Issac who blew rainwater sideways through the window opening and into the bedroom where it has been serving wonderfully cool air. Inside water is not pleasant. I am wishing LG made a flap that could be placed over the exterior hole and open when the air is exhausted. I am serching for such an add on. My repairman says I may have to adapt one that is made for clothes dryers.

This air conditioner has worked great in my 10X12 bedroom. I turn it on about an hour before going to bed and the temp is around 75 (from 85-90) when I am ready to go to sleep. I do not use it in other rooms but it would be easy to do so. I had a friend cut a hole in a piece of wood cut to the size of my window. The window kit did not work for my window.

This unit does a fabulous job to maintain temperature for the master bedroom which a west facing room. It is easy to set up and use, everything you need to use it is included. It is a little noisy, but I would rather have noisy and comfortable than uncomfortable hot and humid!

This second unit is flawless, the first out on warranty for leaking coil. Barring what seems to be an industry standard of having a problem with your air conditioner, this current unit is exactly what was needed. After shopping for a couple different models for the house, there has been too much proof of bad quality throughout the industry. Drain hoses not hooked up(water all over everything), bad freon coils and on it goes. The current unit I have is what the industry should be putting out on a continuous basis. I'm glad I have a good one!
