Great Deal - LG Simplink Compatible

Great value from ADT. Very simple Blu Ray player with limited apps. I was having difficulty with Sony players losing the connection to my LG LED TV. LG uses Simplink, and sometimes this can be a problems with some models of Blu Ray when connected via HDMI. This Blu Ray model has Simplink and connects perfectly. And you can't beat the price for casual Blu Ray viewing. If you are into many Apps, this is probably not the model you would want.

I almost bought a cheaper LG bluray player that had no apps and no internet connection at all, because it would play all the media files I wanted. Then I found this model that also has wired and wireless connections and a small selection of online apps (Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, AccuWeather, Picasa). I think this is a great little bluray player. I am hoping for a firmware upgrade to add Hulu, Pandora, Amazon, Blockbuster, and maybe even more like HBOGo and other similar streaming apps. This product's box and (currently) details on LG.com accurately states what apps are included, but it is true that as of today I can find many online retailers that state this player has many more streaming apps than it actually has. I am really hoping LG puts out a firmware upgrade to at least add Pandora and Hulu or in some way let us know that this will never happen so we know if we should just wait or return these players and get something with more apps if we prefer. To the buyer that says the wireless setup wants IP addresses for DNS and such, it does not. Specifying specific IP addresses is optional. Look at what is on screen a little closer and just go past that screen. I would recommend this player to anyone okay with the currently limited number of streaming apps on it. The non-streaming features/capabilities are VERY NICE and very compatible with bluray, dvd, HD file formats, MP4/M4V/XviD/DivX/MKV...and I believe WMV (have not tried this yet)...from burned CDs, burned DVDs or USB drive. Works VERY well. I have not had any troubles with setup or with losing settings as someone else stated. What is there works GREAT!

I bought one for myself and one for a gift for Christmas.. I have had no problems what-so-ever on mine- I LOVE IT ! I shopped them and the LG won out, it's very compact and very affordable and easy to use. I like the wireless- built in. It upscales the DVD's that are played also. Great picture.

With this player I can view Netflix movies in HD as opposed to the Wii. Quick loading of blue ray discs. Very happy with the performance. Also, I like the fact that BR players are now smaller.

LG-BP200 Within the First Month: Netflix Freezes Randomly Netflix needed our Wireless router rebooted several times VuDu(showed our wifi cable/fios speed was excellent for any level of playback) DVD Disc playback goes blank on screen for several seconds if pause is pressed it eventually comes back and if I rewind it it will work. The DVD used was brand new. Have not used enough blue rays to tell if they had problems. When the hdmi cable was bumped it would cause havoc for several seconds each time, I am thinking now of getting a PS-3.

Bought this about a month ago, had it unboxed and up via the WiFi in a matter of minutes. Connected within a minute to NetFlix and YouTubes. WiFi connect has been great, only lost the connection once and my access point is at the other end of the house. Playing discs or off and external hard drive connected via the usb port works great. Very happy, great value, the only disappointment was the lack of Hulu and Pandora, which it appears that a lot of other people who bought this expected based on the advertising.
