I've never had a nice vaccuum before i bought this one. I have a dog also so I need a strong vaccum. I found it to be effective on carpet and on bare floors. I've only used the pet care attachment once, and although I wasn't blown away by the performance of it, it did pick up most hair. Btw it was used on a sofa. All in all I'd reccommend it.

I have only had this vacuum for 5 months and it does not work at all. It always overheats and stops working. It had great suction for the first week now there is not even enough to use the hand tools. The worst investment I have ever made.

I liked the features and the maneuverability. The quality of the build was just average. The motor completely quit working after one week. Well engineered but needs a different motor. Also is a little loud.

I bought this for our cabin and wanted something lightweight and efficient for our wood floors. It is very easy to handle and picks up the smallest crumbs, even in the cracks and under counters. The suction is only average on the carpet surfaces compared to our Dyson, but we don't have as much carpet.

This is a great vacuum for the price. It may be light weight, but it does the job of a larger/heavier vacuum. I have 3 large dogs & it does a great job of getting up the hair. I also own a Dyson Animal upright vacuum. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because it doesn't perform quite as well as the Dyson. But for the price it certainly meets my expectations.

I have to vacuum at least every other day as I have four pets that all shed like crazy. I need a vacuum that excels at getting pet hair of of carpets, and can also do a good job on ceramic tiles. I previously purchased an LG LUV 400T vacuum for my house. That vacuum is rather large to carry up and down stairs every other day. As a result, I wanted to purchase a small lightweight vacuum to clean our carpeted upstairs bedrooms. It was an easy choice to get the LG LUV 250 vacuum because I have been exceptionally pleased with my other LG vacuums.

The LG 250 is great because it is small. The vacuum is incredibly lightweight, and easy to push around. This vacuum does not take up a lot of storage space which is great for a second vacuum cleaner. The handle telescopes, and it can be locked into 3 different positions. The lowest, for storage, is makes the vacuum about 35" tall. The highest setting makes the vacuum about 44" tall. The vacuum also has a fairly small footprint to really reduce the amount of storage space it needs. Now, it will not do any good just to have a small vacuum that does not work well. This vacuum is also very powerful. If I forget to raise the height setting before vacuuming small bathroom rugs, the vacuum will suck the rugs up and move them around. It removes an incredible amount of dirt and animal hair every time I use it! It removes dirt and hair along the entire length of the clean path unlike some other vacuum cleaners that only have a sweet spot where they remove dirt. It has decent edge cleaning as I have seen dirt "jump into" the cleaning path and get sucked up. The brush roll can be turned on and of depending upon the type of floor surface to be vacuumed. The on board tools perform well. However, the tool storage isn't that great which is why I took of one half star in my rating. Anyway, the handle releases from the vacuum with the push of a button located at the top of the vacuum's body, and it becomes the vacuums cleaning wand. The on board tools are easy to use, and they function well. The pet brush does in particular does a great job of getting animal hair off of my upholstered chair. The vacuum is also very quiet, and it does not really disturb any of my dogs or cats. The dirt canister is clear, and it is easy to see how much stuff is getting into the bin. The dirt compression feature makes it so that you do not have to empty the bin nearly as often as a regular vacuum, and it really performs well at that task. The dirt canister is easy to remove from the vacuum and easy to empty. There is a foam pre-filter located on the top portion of the dirt canister. That foam filter can be rinsed, air dried, and reused. The vacuum comes with an extra pre-filter. The HEPA filter is easy to access, and it is also rinse-able and reusable. All of the control buttons are located at the top of the vacuum cleaner except for the height adjustment. The height adjustment feature is turn-able dial that is located on top of the cleaning head. There are four floor heights that can be selected. The brush roll has a separate motor and reset switch that is easy to locate.

Overall, I would rate this vacuum a 4.5. I am not given the option of half stars on this site.

I recently purchased two other LG vacuums for my house. I have an LUV400 that use on my first floor, and that vacuum is incredible. However, I feel it is too big and bulky to carry upstairs every other day to vacuum my carpets. I also have LCV 800 that use in my basement which has hard tile floors. I am very pleased with how that vacuum performs as well. When I was looking for a compact upright vacuum to use/store upstairs, I did not have to look any further than LG. I just got this vacuum the other day. I like reviewing products right away, and then updating my review as I continue to use the product. This vacuum comes just about ready to use right out of the box. All that was needed to assemble the vacuum was to mount the handle onto the extension wand and attach the house to the bottom of the handle. Both of those components simply click into place without tools. The design was so easy to figure out that I did not have to even read the directions. As far as using the vacuum, it is very simple to operate. I will take a moment to talk about some of the ergonomics of the vacuum. The power button and brush roll power switch are located on the top of the body. Both controls are large easy to reach buttons. The height adjustment is a large dial located on the front of the vacuum. The dial is easy to turn, but I do not like this feature as much as I do the foot control used my other LG vacuum. The wand/handle is a telescopic. The vacuum can be made very short for storage by locking the handle in the lowest position (roughly 35-1/2" tall). When the handle is fully extended for use, the vacuum is close to 44" tall. There are a couple of height settings in between. There is a button on top rear portion of the handle that allows the vacuum cleaner handle length to be adjusted. Also, the handle becomes a part of the cleaning wand. There is a release button that is located on the top of the vacuum right next to the handle/wand assembly. There are two filters that are both easily accessible. One is a foam pre-filter that is located in the top portion of the dust container. The other is a HEPA filter located at the front exhaust. Last, the vacuum is light weight, and it easily pushes across my carpet. Now, I will talk about the performance of the vacuum. This vacuum is powerful. It picks up long dog hair from my medium pile carpet in a single pass. The compression feature really works to compact the hair that the vacuum picks up. The vacuum is fairly quiet. The bin is a smaller version of my other upright. It is easy to remove from the vacuum and empty. The wand tools have strong suction, and they are fairly easy to remove/use. The attachment hose is held in place by a plastic clip. The dust brush and crevice tool can be stored on the vacuum, but there is no place to store the pet hair brush. Overall, I think this is a great vacuum! I highly recommend it!

I just got this vacuum 2 weeks ago and LOVE it! It's somewhat smaller, more feminine looking, than a traditional vacuuum, but in no way SMALL. It's very easy to use, self-propelled. It picks up an AMAZING amount of hair and dirt. Seriously. You will be ashamed of the stuff you can get out of your current carpets directly after using your OLD vacuum and then using this one. It's just amazing. Very easy to empty and clean...the drop down button empties the canister without a "puff" of dust like most other canisters....and then there are two side openings to clean out trapped hair, etc that might accumulate. Just SO easy to clean! Suction is amazing and using the telescopic handle is great! The placement is lower on this vacuum when compared to others so that means you can stretch the hose out completely and your vacuum is STILL STANDING! It doesn't tip over! Amazing again! I used to always say "I don't do floors." and leave the vacuuming and sweeping for my husband but now I actually like doing the floors! This vacuum has a handy button near the top that allows you to turn off the rotating bristles so you can vacuum hard floors without having to stop and change settings...LOVE that feature! BUY THIS! You will not be disappointed! ANOTHER BONUS is a FIVE year warranty!!! Seriously, does any other vacuum have a guarantee like that? I think not.
