About Me Need my music for the day
This is a replacement for Marantiz 4270 2 + Quad Channel receiver (remember those) that I purchased in 1975. After 37 years of high quality service it came time to replace and upgrade. The Marantiz was well marked for it's time and simple to connect to speakers and components. I throughly like the Pioner. It has so many additional functions. But, that is part of the confesion in connecting every thing. I'll figure it out, just give me time. And some stronger glasses to read the ultra small print in the manual.

A great price on a good unit that is perfect for my current needs and should work well in the future if I expand to a home theater setup. The setup options for the unit can be a little overwhelming if you've never dealt with a stereo as sophisticated as they are now but I have it working well for my uses now.

This is a little more challenging to set up than older receivers. You'll pretty much have to use the on-screen control which you can only see via the RCA video out (not hdmi). The remote was a little confusing at first, but just takes time. The sound is great, ipod/pad/phone integration works quite well, and overall I'm very happy with it.
