Cooking rice is not difficult Cooking rice well and consistant takes some expertise. The Panasonic rice cooker gives you that expertise at the touch of a button.

We had a cheap under $20 rice cooker that made rice, but not nearly as good as this model. This is superior in the final products for the table, but just as important, it is easy to clean.

The instructions say you can keep rice warm for up to 96 hours. I figured, sure, who would ever need more than a couple of hours. And at the end of that time, who would want to eat it? Well when we made the third batch, something came up and onlyh one portion was taken from the cooker. The rest was left on the "warm" cycle. Amazingly, 28 hours later we had a meal with the warm rice. It was still fluffy and had good texture.

My only negative is the insruction booklet. It could be better written in a few steps, but once you use the machine, you won't need the book anyway. Measuring the rice was a bit confusing so my wife went back to her methond of filling the wat++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++er a finger joint above the rice. Works every teime.
